A week ago today, alongside our Founder @LewisHamilton, partners, and inspirational young people like Simisola, we attended a roundtable event with the UK Prime Minister to discuss how we can work together to build a more inclusive education system that supports every young person to thrive in school.

At Mission 44, we believe listening to the voices and perspectives of young people is vital to ensure every student feels they belong in the classroom.

That's why we’re delighted that following the meeting, the Government pledged to capture more data on young people’s experiences in schools and use it to shape policy and practice.

Last week, alongside @mission44 Founder @LewisHamilton and over 25 organisations from across the education and youth sectors, we released a powerful joint statement urging policymakers to prioritise equity and inclusion across all aspects of education.

📉 The statement came a day after Mission 44 published new research that revealed a stark disconnect between students’ needs and their everyday experiences in school.

As part of our Nothing Happens in Isolation campaign, we've highlighted four Priority Areas, with policy recommendations, for the Government to address to #PreventExclusions.

💡 With investment in initiatives that increase the diversity of the teaching workforce, and mandatory inclusive practice and anti-racism training for all teachers and school governors, we believe that our education system can create the conditions for all young people to thrive regardless of their background.
