Loved every moment of my maiden visit to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) which was originally established by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875 which took the shape of the present day central university in 1920 based on the Aligarh Muslim University Act. Now, it is also an Institute of National Importance. Sir Syed's grand vision for the college came out of his visit to the universities at Oxford and Cambridge in England and he dreamt of having an education system similar to the British model for Indians, specially the muslim populace. Sir Syed Hall is the oldest hall of the university where their exist several heritage buildings, such as Strachey Hall, Mushtaq Manzil, Nizam Museum, Asman Manzil, and Lytton Library, Victoria Gate, and the impressive Jama Masjid. AMU's campus also maintains a cricket ground - Willingdon Pavilion, a synthetic hockey ground and the, Gulistan-e-Syed park. Other important structures in AMU include and Sir Syed House (now a museum), the Maulana Azad Library, Kennedy Auditorium, Moinuddin Ahmad Art Gallery, Musa Dakri Museum, the Cultural Education Centre and the Siddons Debating Union Hall. I salute Sir Syed's vision for quality education carried out through philanthropic donations from several erstwhile princely estates in British India.

🚧 अलीगढ़ सड़क जमालपुर फाटक से राम नगर (वार्ड नं. 48) तक की सड़क की हालत बेहद खराब है। जगह-जगह गड्ढे, कीचड़ और पानी भरा हुआ है। यह स्थिति स्थानीय निवासियों और बच्चों के लिए गंभीर खतरा बन चुकी है।
