๐๐ฟEverything has dissolved into a madness, my dear friends, people everywhere are in some sort of anxious haze that is determining their every move. I told you before about the merchants and how they were hoarding their goods, but nothing could have prepared me for the situation today. Immediately after news broke out of the new war, some stores immediately closed, and people were rushing to the streets to find food to buy. There is so much panic and fear that there is now nothing left, my friends. There is no shops open with anything left and merchants are hoarding the last of their goods so they can charge us a hundred times or more than they were before. I'm scared, I can't hide it from you, and I don't know what will happen to us as a result of this terrible situation. I dream of leaving this nightmare behind us and travelling to somewhere safe, but I fear that it will only ever be a dream. Things are very bad, soon everyone will face the difficult realities of famine and the most vulnerable will begin to die of starvation or preventable causes. I must highlight with you the level of crisis we are entering, my dear friends, and I must ask you to please help us by telling people about the risk we are all in. We might be under a so called "ceasefire", but they will take our lives and dignity in so many other ways. It's very urgent now, my friends. Please donate urgently so that I can afford food for my family, and so that I can barter for some tinned meat for our cats and our dog. Please donate to the people in our camp, who are so vulnerable and already struggle to survive. Every donation is needed much more now, my friends. Famine is quickly approaching us all. Act quickly if you can, my dear ones, and please raise the alarm to others who might have forgotten us. ๐ซ๐๐ฟHello my dear wonderful friends, I have spent most of the day with our wonderful little puppy, who I now know is a girl! My children and I played with her after they finished school and we got her a ball to fetch. I asked them if they had any idea for a name, and together we came up with the name Lisa, for our puppy. What do you think, my dear friends? Do you like her name? I noticed when she was playing that she has a limp and pain in her leg, so I hope very much we can get it seen by someone who will be able to treat her if it should become serious. It's nice to take some time to be happy and joyful with my family and with our animals, my friends. It's like some time away where you forget all of the problems and worries that affect us all every day. Things are still very bad, I won't hide it from you. There's been less and less coming across the border every day, and now many merchants are closing or raising their prices to the obscene amounts it was before. Food is becoming very scarce again, I am sorry to say. I'm very worried that the animals are going to run out of food soon and I won't be able to afford to buy them anymore. That's why I'm sorry to tell you that you are our only hope. You are their only hope, my dear wonderful friends. Your donations have become survival for many of us once again. The cruelty free camp needs extra help so they can afford food to break their fast with, but I barely have enough to give to them. Your help with this would make us all very happy, my dear friends. I hope you like the name of our puppy very much and you can donate to help pay for her food and the food for all of our gentle cats we take care of. ๐๐ซThere is more terrifying violence nearby today, my dear friends, and I'm afraid that's the only change that I can tell you about today. I haven't yet been contacted to say we can travel soon, and many medical evacuees are being rejected from the crossings, so I do not know what the future will hold for us, or for anyone here. The increasing amount of attacks on the ๐ต๐ธ๐ฟ๐#Gaza Strip is very worrying, and I hope that things will go as planned very soon so that we can leave and live peacefully. Rest assured, as soon I am given any sort of update, I will write to you to tell you, my dear friends. You are wonderful friends who have stood by us for such a long time now, and none of us would be here if we did not have you. Please remember our cats and our big hungry dog who need a constant source of food to keep them alive and healthy and happy. There is a lot of speculation and anticipation for news about the crossings, and what it could mean for us here in ๐ต๐ธ๐๐#Gaza, both individually and for us as Palestinians and people of Gaza. Many people have different emotions, it's like there's no right answer or wrong answer, but it's hard to think about. I think the uncertainty of our safety here is what's most scary of all. I'm thinking about my wife and children, and our future, my friends. It's all very daunting and confusing. I hope you will forgive me for rambling a little. I haven't been able to have my operation to help with my painful condition and the terrifying situation has made me very stressed, but the doctor gave me a strong painkiller so I could finally sleep last night, my friends. I feel much more energised today and I want to ask you very urgently for your help to buy more food for the cats and so we can feed our beautiful dog so he can be strong and healthy. While food is not as scarce as it was in the famine, it's still very difficult to find, especially so close to the army, my dear friends. Please help us afford this necessary food for them before they go hungry, I could not bare if this happened. The clashes near my home have gone on for many days now, and just earlier a bullet came through my bedroom window, through the glass and into our room. It could have been my children's room, my friends. It could have hit any of us. I'm so tired, I want this violence to end already. Nobody knows or believes them when they talk about the crossings, they always lie and they really want us to die. I don't want to die, my dear friends. I also need to urgently appeal to you so that I can buy more food for the cats and the dog that now lives with us. He eats the same amount as 10 cats do, he's clearly been very malnourished and hungry for a very long time, and I can't let any of these poor creatures go hungry, at any cost. ๐ฅฐ๐๐My heart is full of joy as I introduce you to this wonderful dog that we rescued just last night, my dear friends. My cousin Mo and I were walking with some friends when we saw this gentle creature looking at us with hopeful eyes, wagging his tail, but scared and unsure of us. He looked so skinny, and we immediately went to give him food and water. He was so thirsty and so hungry, my friends, and it made my heart very happy to help him. Today, my children got to meet him and we were able to make a small shelter so he can stay warm and dry, and I hope that our financial situation improves so we can create a good shelter for him to live in. I'm sorry to say he looks like he might have been mistreated on the streets, and he's very scared, but he seems to be healthy enough, only skinny and malnourished like many animals. God willing, we will raise enough funds to get vaccinations for him and also the necessary flea and worm treatments to keep him healthy. I hope you can help us to raise funds to help him, my dear friends. We now have many animals who rely on us to give them a meal and they are all so special and wonderful in an individual way. Many people think famine has gone from ๐ต๐ธ๐ฟ#Gaza, but so many people still sleep hungry at night and children will cry from the pit in their stomach. Danger is everywhere, and our situation is still urgent, so I hope you will forgive me for writing the same messages to you every day, my dear friends. The children living in the cruelty free camp need warm blankets for the cold nights, and we can nearly afford them. I will travel to get a good price for them soon and I will tell you how much more we will need, my friends. I am always very happy when I can visit the families there with good news or gifts to bring. They deserve a good life, my friends. ๐ซโบ๏ธWe visited our cruelty-free camp today, my dear friends, and I'm pleased to say they are safe and well, and the tents have sustained only minimal damage so far. They talked to me about the cold, and how at night their children cry from the terrible chill that comes into the tent. Unfortunately, many of the blankets that people had became very wet or ruined, and they did not have many to begin with, so they asked me if we could buy them blankets. This is what I come to you with today, my dear friends, this request so we can help the poor families stay warm. To begin, I want to buy 10 blankets for the children, and we can try to buy more if we raise enough funds. If we buy a bundle of ten blankets, my friends, then the vendor can give us a discount on the price. I would be very grateful to you if you were to help achieve this goal. Yesterday I showed you the food we were able to obtain for the cats, but as I'm sure you know, it won't last very long because there are so many animals in need of a meal. ๐ซ๐The rain has finally stopped for now, my dear friends, and I am very happy to tell you that the food for the cats was able to be delivered to my home. I am so relieved to have this food now, and I'm so grateful to all of our friends who have looked out for the stray cats and dogs and helped me buy this food to give to them. While the rain and wind has now stopped, it's still very cold in ๐ต๐ธ๐ฟ๐#Gaza and many people in tents are now urgently trying to make repairs before the bad weather returns. My cousin Mo and I will go out to feed the animals and to check on the camp, to ask them if there is anything they need, my friends, and we would be so grateful if we could bring them donations to help them out. ๐ซ๐ธI've just returned to my home from my trip further South, my dear friends, and I am happy and excited to tell you that I was successful in purchasing a large quantity of food for the cats in our shelter and on the streets. I was able to negotiate to buy 10 large boxes of food, each containing 24 tins, and it was a great deal cheaper than it would be to buy here. Unfortunately transport to the south and back is very difficult, my friends, and I could not take the food home with me today. I hope that tomorrow I will be able to afford to take a small van to collect it to take home. I wanted to thank you, because it is your generous donations and your kindness towards life in ๐ต๐ธ๐ฟ๐#Gaza that allowed me to buy this food. Unfortunately progression of any kind is slow, and things here do not get better, everything is difficult and people are still dying every day. There is a terrible health crisis developing, people are falling very sick and small children are catching very severe illnesses, especially in the camps. I'm very worried, my dear friends. Please pray for everyone here in Gaza to survive these dangerous times. Tomorrow I'm going to travel South so I can buy food for the stray cats and for the cats in our shelter, my friends. God willing, my journey will be successful and I will be able to buy a large amount of food to last a longer amount of time. When I visited the market close to me earlier on, the prices were over double the cost of the food further South. ๐ซ๐The rain finally stopped and we were able to visit our camp, my dear friends, and we were relieved that everyone made it through the storm safely. There were some minor leaks to some of the tents, but this was fixed by my cousin Mo and I quickly, and we gave some money to the families for them to get through these miserable days. This is thanks to you again, my friends, and they and I are grateful to you from the bottom of my heart. I have no other news to share with you, my friends, as nothing here changes, and so I can only ask you for your continued support here. Our cruelty-free camp needs your help consistently as they continue to live in fragile conditions and they still have no help from the world other than the wonderful kind friends who help us.
