@jkac I’d go crazy if I “wasn’t allowed” to eat meat, but at this point I think of it less as a staple and more as a special lil treat. Taking the “you can’t/shouldn’t” temptation and guilt away made it way easier for me mentally to just.. make something else, if that makes sense
@jkac For me the key was figuring out a few easy satisfying staple recipes that didn’t have any meat that I was genuinely excited about and then riffing from there. Also not making it an immediate switch and easing into incorporating more beans/lentils/tofu/etc!
@OgLakyn Thrift store suck now tbh :( Even the difference from a few years ago when I started thrifting to now is actually shocking, and it’s wild it’s only going to get worse
@politicaIesbian Right? It’s really starting to feel like these types of people see “being oppressed” as a sign of being Morally Good, so they gotta grasp at some straws to feel bad and thus validated as Good People? idk. Regardless it’s bizarre
@politicaIesbian I want to live in whatever little fantasy world they’ve created where lesbians are universally beloved, respected, and celebrated constantly
