update:
I have a 3rd wallet that also received funds from HTX post May 26 2026, but does not seem to be flagged as high risk on HL
however, @grvt_io won’t let me add margin from that wallet (even though it is the wallet I login with), confirming my fear that this issue extends well beyond HL and affects every protocol using these AML companies
I ran all of my wallets (including the ones that have touched HTX post may 26 2026, of which the 2 flagged by HL are a subset) through GoPlus’ free API and they all came back clean
I also connected with a very kind Blockaid employee who ran the 2 HL and the one GRVT flagged addresses through their systems and they all came back clean
this means that the issue lies with some subset of @elliptic, @trmlabs and @chainalysis. I would greatly appreciate any intros to anyone from any of these companies to plead my case
today this happened to me with HTX, but tomorrow it could be you with MEXC, a month later it could your friend with gateio or bitget
just because I happened to unwittingly withdraw from HTX (my funds were already on there) after they were sanctioned, does not mean I am complicit in or have any knowledge of any crimes the exchange may have committed
HTX is a huge exchange with millions of users — it is undoubtedly a mistake to label them all criminals without discretion
if you would like to take a look at one of the flagged wallets yourself, this is my public @ethos_network wallet which has been affected:

thank you to everyone who has shown support or has helped out either with their actions or with their words, it truly means a lot to me — these last 24 hours have been extremely rough for me and I wouldn’t wish any of it on my worst enemy
1/ $HYPE is one of the clearest examples of DeFi competing with centralized exchanges on product and economics, not just ideology
Can an onchain exchange become one of the major venues for global trading?
A thread on @HyperliquidX 🧵
can @ethos_network do some pls? or its perma doom?
i don't get how wallets can be flagged if there was activity prior to sanctions.

DEAL REACHED: ILLEGAL MIGRANTS MUST NOW RETURN
Today, Europe took an important step towards regaining control over migration, with Parliament and Member States agreeing on a new Return Regulation.
"For too long, Europe has had a system where return orders were routinely ignored," said François-Xavier Bellamy MEP, the EPP Group negotiator on the file.
"Let’s be clear: four out of five non-EU nationals who have received a formal return decision from a Member State do not leave. That is not a functioning system. That is failure. Today, we are ending that situation by facilitating returns, extending detention periods, removing the automatically suspensive effect of appeals, and providing a legal framework for return hubs in third countries. This is not just another piece of legislation, but the condition for regaining control of migration policy in Europe," Bellamy added.
The new Regulation replaces the outdated 2008 Return Directive and gives Member States stronger tools to enforce return decisions, including a new European Return Order that will facilitate the mutual recognition and enforcement of returns across Europe. The agreement reinforces the obligations and increases consequences for non-cooperation, introduces specific measures for individuals who pose a security risk, reduces the risk of absconding, and ensures that the external dimension of the return policy forms an integral part of the comprehensive approach to migration, using as a leverage all EU relevant policies and tools, including visa policy, trade or development.
"For years, Europe sent the worst possible message: even if you had no right to stay, chances were high that nothing would happen," Bellamy added. "That era is ending. If you have no right to stay in Europe, you will have to leave."
"The EPP promised to restore control of migration. Today, we are delivering concrete rules with real consequences. With this new law, we are completing the final pillar of the Migration Pact and giving Member States the tools to enforce our migration laws. A migration system without effective returns is a system without credibility,” said Tomas Tobé MEP, EPP Group Vice-Chair and the European Parliament’s chief negotiator on the Migration Pact.
The agreement will now move to formal approval by the European Parliament and the EU Member States.
