@hubermanlab I have been seeing conflicting info when it comes to taking fish oil.
I've also been seeing a lot of benefits from taking baking soda. What are your thoughts/the science behind taking both fish oil and baking soda?
No boos will be tolerated for 33 on Sunday. He carries a permanent G with him even if it’s buried under some purple and yellow for the time being. Nothing but respect for Aaron Jones.
@jterd11@WildeAndTausch I would say a perfect game. You need to get 12 strikes in a row. Not saying they all need to be good strikes either, but 12 is way more difficult than one.
Could get lucky once. Unlikely to get lucky 12 times.
Your thoughts?
@JacobWestendorf Without going back to watch all three dropbacks, I know for sure two of them were 100% Roders fault. Easy to blame the offensive line, but those throws needed to come out quick and when they didn't the protection wasn't called for him to hold the ball a long time.
“I do cardio every day and lift weights 2 times a week . I’ve started eating healthier but I just can’t seem to lose weight.” -guy talking to me at the coffee shop I was after he overheard I’m a dietitian.
“Do you drink alcohol? Snack during the day?”
Him, “I only drink 4-5 beers a week and skip dinner. I eat popcorn instead because I heard it was low calorie. I also don’t eat breakfast because I heard it was bad for me. So IDK I probably only eat at a Cesar salad with chicken at lunch.”
Me, “you could have eggs for breakfast, a grilled chicken salad with avocado for lunch, and eat a proper dinner rich in protein and veggies. You’re likely eating more than you think and you’re also not eating enough protein to maintain muscle. The more muscle you have on your frame the more kcal you’re going to burn at rest. I’d also recommend cutting alcohol to 1 drink per week. It’s full of calories, carbs, and you’re testosterone levels are negatively affected which won’t help with fat loss. Maybe try that?”
Him, “Lady I’m 65 YO. I don’t want to do that.”
Me, “well you asked for my advice and you said you can’t lose fat? I just told you exactly how to do it?”
Half of our society has an unwillingness to change and they are the reason they can’t succeed. Despite me giving him 45-min of free advice.
🙃I think folks fail to understand how much ownership they need to take in their own health and wellness. So many are so quick to blame something or make excuses for why they can’t get results. Yet literally a plan handed to them for free .. “no”.
You can’t blame dietitians or the healthcare system when you yourself are your own enemy of success.
