— McLaren has yet to determine if Lando Norris will face internal repercussions for his involvement in the Singapore Sprint incident with Oscar Piastri. The stewards ruled that both drivers contributed to the final-lap contact, resulting in Piastri's retirement and Norris finishing eighth.

— This outcome cost McLaren valuable points, potentially impacting their prize money. Andrea Stella emphasized that apologies alone are insufficient, and further discussions are planned before the Austin race.

— Reflecting on a similar situation in 2025, Norris faced "repercussions" after a clash with Piastri at the Singapore Grand Prix. Zak Brown minimized the punishment, describing it as "marginal" and ensuring "zero interference" on race day. The sanction allowed Piastri to choose his garage exit order during qualifying, intended to last the season.

— However, the penalty was short-lived. During the 2025 Austin Sprint, Piastri collided with Nico Hülkenberg and Norris, leading to both McLarens retiring. The team subsequently removed Norris' consequences. Piastri confirmed the slate was wiped clean before the Mexico City Grand Prix.
