@NikkiPwrites Awesome start! Sounds like you are already ahead of the game. :) I'm not doing it this year, but I did it once and I ended up having to write 6,500 words on the last day. Exhausting experience, but very satisfying to reach that finish line! Good luck!

In honor of #GingerCatAppreciationDay , here is our ginger barn cat, Neal! Neutered, vaccinated, and proudly wearing a pink reflector collar, this total sweetheart has come a long way from being a feral cat who wouldn't let me touch him!

The most hilarious, heartwarming, and creative show on TV just got canceled. @Netflix@Peacock , what are we going to do to fix this horrible lapse in judgment? #ResidentAlien#ThisIsSomeBS
@kbowmanwriter My first manuscript needed a LOT of help, but I couldn't afford an editor so I felt really stuck. Then I met an AMAZING writer who was willing to beta my book (even though she didn't have anything for me to read in exchange!). I made a great friend and got invaluable feedback.
I always had so much respect for people who could produce a novel by writing for 10 minutes every day on their lunch breaks. Now I am over 20K words into the sequel for Scars, written entirely on my phone during lunch breaks and while walking my cat. This is doable! #IndieAuthor
@JasonWMizer I tried it once but I think my bids were too high. I got clicks and usually sold 1-2 books per month, but I was increasingly in the red. I might do it again with much lower bids and see what happens. I'm told the ads become more effective over time if you let them run.
It took me 15+ years to get from first draft to final. During that time, the world changed - a LOT - leaving me wondering whether to update the setting of my book:

What's the setting of your current WIP, and why did you choose that setting? #writing
@AuthorGFAllen I'm an ebook girl, for sure. Just being able to adjust the text appearance, not having to get up and turn a light off after I'm done reading at night, all that jazz. Speaking as an author, though, holding that physical proof copy of my first book was a breathtaking moment.
Got this AWESOME early review from Asha over at Books and Readers. Many thanks to @ashasbookblog for taking a chance on an #indieauthor ! #paranormalromance#bookreviews

There are many teachers appreciated in my book but today this guy had a special visitor. He was nominated by a student for his impact on his life. Beyond anything we can say this man Mr. Bassier is a BLESSING to each and everyone of us.@BrasureCTE@FraserSchools
Getting ready to publish my werewolf story. Super excited to share this one! Cover reveal and early review coming soon. ๐บ#indieauthor#paranormal#Romance

During the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, 14 tiger-striped cats were left abandoned on our farm. To read their story and learn how you can help, please visit: https://t.co/yvaSZH5mJX Thank you for your kindness!
This post gives a rundown of what I've tried so far to advertise/promote my book (and how well it worked). Topics include Kindle Unlimited, Bargain Booksy, Amazon Ads, and Voracious Readers Only. Hoping it might help other #indieauthors! #bookpromotion
