“Lucrative” is a massive overstatement. Apparently, @CanadianPM@MarkJCarney, @AnitaAnandMP, @MSidhuLiberal and company would like us to believe a rushed free trade deal with India — or even China — is a magic fix and a real alternative to solid trade with our friends and neighbours down south - the US. They’d like us to think, without thinking that the trade deals would magically solve our economic problems. Appears to be a delusional world view. Let’s watch where this @liberal_party circus actually leads us. Hopefully not off a cliff or down the garden path. @MichaelChongMP@PierrePoilievre@DanMuysMP #CdnPoli
Carney leaning into India for trade and strategic partnerships sends the message that Canada is willing to compromise on its sovereignty in exchange for lucrative trade deals. That only emboldens the Indian government and feeds the nationalist narcissism that already shapes much of its political culture. If Liberals really had to choose economy over integrity, then the US was a much better frenemy.
@mirimranhr The beard must’ve been causing Political Allergies 🤣. That said, there are pictures of him clean shaven earlier than 1953.
Hey @grok, when and why did the Sheikh shave his beard?
Reducing the minimum engineering experience from 4 to 2 years is a horrible decision that risks lowering standards. Was this change made after meaningful consultation with practising members? Public safety should not be compromised — true competence takes time to develop, beyond just checking off 34 competencies.
The earlier elimination of the 1-year Canadian experience requirement, and now this reduction from 4- to 2-years, is fraught with risks and consequences.
Agree 💯 with the @CPC_HQ and @MichaelChongMP on this! Time for Foreign Minister @AnitaAnandMP to actually do her job: immediately summon the Indian HC, demand a full retraction and apology, and hold him accountable. Our national security and sovereignty are not up for debate. Canada’s institutions must be defended!

Conservatives accept the assessment of CSIS and the RCMP about India’s foreign interference threat activities here in Canada.
We reject the accusation that CSIS is politically compromised. We reject the accusation that the RCMP are investigating “fantasy” allegations.
Just this month, CSIS assessed in its annual report that India has engaged in “surveillance and other coercive tactics meant to suppress criticism of the Government of India and create fear in the community” in Canada.
The Liberal government’s position on all of this is less than clear.
In February this year, the Liberal government rejected the assessment of CSIS, which continues to assess India as one of the main perpetrators of foreign interference threat activities here in Canada. The Liberal government said India has stopped its foreign interference, transnational repression and violence here in Canada.
In addition, almost two years after Parliament adopted Bill C-70, the Liberal government has yet to stand up the Foreign Influence Transparency Registry, a key tool in combatting foreign interference.
A disturbing pattern is emerging of a Liberal government that, like the previous Liberal government, is failing to treat national security seriously. This has this has real implications for the protection of Canadians here at home and the assertion of our sovereignty here and abroad.

This is plainly disgusting, despicable and deeply disturbing! @OntLiberal is as much a circus as the National @liberal_party. Instead of cleaning up their act, they try to sweep the issues under the rug. @Sachitmehra@QasirDar@JohnFraserOS@MarkJCarney Moving my vote in the next elections away from the LPC. #CdnPoli
I get that you're fine with people voting with amazon orders and foreign passports, but I don't think it's "cope" to point out how that isn't normal and should not be normal and the OLP should assure that it's never considered normal again
NES is right to challenge this nomination. It's not credible that Nate, who has been elected several times, lost (by 19 votes) to somebody with zero name recognition and no history of civic activity. If the OLP doesn't clean up their act, I'll pull my vote and endorse Stiles/NDP.
Traditional Kashmiri “Noon chai”(salt tea) is a heavily brewed green tea with a pinch of baking soda that turns it pink when added with milk. The salt gives it a unique cheesy flavour that pairs perfectly with Kashmiri bread (girdah, lavas or chutchvoor in Koshur-Kashmiri language) baked in tandoor.
Having it with sugar? That’s pure blasphemy in Kashmir! 😄 The real deal is salty, not sweet.
Well, as a former resident of Milton, I believe @lraitt failed to represent her constituents and neighbours in Ottawa, which is absolutely normal for @CPC_HQ. Eventually voted out in 2019 and replaced by an MP who, despite being from another elitist party(@liberal_party), actually looked out for the interests of Miltonians.
That said, having seen her recently on CBC’s Power & Politics and other TV panels, Lisa unfortunately displays a clear streak of partisan bias. I genuinely hope she sets that aside. Partisan bias right now would be detrimental to Canada’s interests amid these critical trade and tariff challenges. Country over party.
You call the Canadian Charter “one of the defining pillars of our democracy” that “safeguards who we are, how we live, and how we respect one another.”
Yet you and your Liberal colleagues as well as the Conservatives, routinely ignore emails from the very citizens you’re elected to represent. No acknowledgment. No reply. Radio silence. The Charter doesn’t just protect abstract “rights and freedoms” — it underpins a representative democracy where elected officials are supposed to be accountable to the people.
Ignoring your constituents isn’t “upholding” the Charter. It’s undermining the entire system. @MarkJCarney@PierrePoilievre@DanMuysMP@MichaelChongMP@gary_srp@AnitaAnandMP@liberal_party@CPC_HQ@iamIqraKhalid@SameerZuberi

A few reflections on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, one of the defining pillars of our democracy.
A document that safeguards who we are, how we live, and how we respect one another. I am proud to call Canada home, and to uphold the rights and freedoms that unite us all. 🇨🇦
People of Azad Kashmir are not ethnically Kashmiris, barring the Neelum Valley. Historically part of Punjab, Poonch-Mirpur-Muzaffarabad area became part of the Dogra J&K in the 1800s after the Anglo-Sikh war. Majority of ethnic Kashmiris live in the Indian Administered Kashmir valley.
