@ckmathews33@jazayerli That makes me feel a little better. Apparently he expects good things from Bridges in the middle rounds. Says he has success with high-schoolers there. I hope so and it makes sense that more money there could entice them away from college. The Royals really need depth.
@jazayerli So, we got an old, under-slot, injury prone, not very good left fielder who chases too much and doesn’t walk. Am i being too pessimistic here? I hope so.
@StatisticUrban Marginal voters everywhere were motivated to turn out against the incumbent national party. This effect was somewhat mitigated in battleground states where Dems outworked Republicans but not enough to win. So swings were greater in states not in play.
@VPasquantino@SorenPetro A lot of Chiefs’ haters think there’s an NFL conspiracy. I do not believe that. It’s voodoo. There are powers none of us understand that are in control of Chiefs’ games.
@CautiousLefty This is to hedge your emotions, right? At the end of the night you’ll either be happy or right. Exactly what one would expect from a cautious lefty.
@CautiousLefty With reproductive rights and marijuana on the ballot it’s hard for me to believe that Dem turnout will be low when all the votes are in.
@ECaliberSeven I haven’t seen recent polling on the reproductive rights amendment but, last I saw, it was expected to pass. It is hard for me to imagine that a significant number of people will protect abortion rights, vote for Gallego, and also vote for Trump. Same with Nevada.
@mikepompeo It was Trump who scuttled the bipartisan border bill. In America, it is our representatives in Congress who determine policy yet having an election talking point was more important to you all than trying to solve the problem. We’ll see if your talking point wins the election.
@cayman4L@PatrickW@JohnFMauldin The first amendment only applies to the government. John wasn’t saying the government should shut down Tony. He was saying a presidential candidate should have better sense than to hire a guy to deliver stupid “jokes” that didn’t even land with the target audience.
(POLL) During this election season, how many times have you seen U.S. media reference studies showing that Donald Trump's mishandling of the pandemic cost hundreds of thousands of innocent Americans their lives?

@KSeaboldt Wow! Brady had some skills if he always played with one eye closed! Did he not read the NFL rule that states you can have both eyes open outside the pocket?
@tbonier 1. He has no control over the outcome of the election.
2. He makes probabilistic forecasts based on a pretty transparent model that uses polls and prior tendencies of the electorate.
3. His reputation is worth multiples of that wager.
I see no conflict in him calling a bluff.
@KCOracle@bturner23 One series at a time - with the short right field wall in Baltimore and our paucity of left handed hitters you definitely want Vinnie’s bat.
@pregame_eric @CautiousLefty I believe you are right about this. The mitigating factor this election in AZ is that reproductive rights are on the ballot and should boost anti-Trump turnout. Hard for pollsters to determine likely voters. In 2016, that underestimated Trump. This year it may underestimate blue.
@things_sean@KSeaboldt He brought a team that lost 106 games last year to respectability. If someone offered you a deal that at the beginning of the season they’d win at least 82 games I bet you would have taken it. They still control the last playoff position. 1 win fewer than Detroit does it.
