"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." ... The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged.

@prasanna_s@gautambhatia88@no2uid Employers are being forced to violate the Supreme Court rules vis-a-vis Aadhaar since EPFO mandates it for any online operations including opening or accounts or updation. What part of Aadhaar act allows Employers to have this information.

@mathew111938 Even if biometrics are unique, the tech that is used to a) match them is not guaranteed to do so and b) doesn't necessarily ensure that it matches the right biometrics. Hence the probabilistic measures of FRR (False rejection rate) and FAR (false acceptance rate)
@gautambhatia88@taah_zzzz Except that they can bring in a law to curtail right to privacy like they did post emergency to the fundamental right to property.
@MishiChoudhary@logic What this does though is it fails to take into consideration the cause of problems or actual end use cases. Most software projects that get scrapped are because of failing to fulfil the goals that users had in mind as opposed to what the devs had in mind.\2
@MishiChoudhary@logic Would like to clarify that most software developers are not engineers. And even being in the Industry for so long don't understand why the term engineering is used for software development. For most software developers IT is the solution to all problems. \1
@nixxin@icitizen47 My friend Lily was unable to enrol for Aadhaar as all her attempts failed.
When queried, UIDAI official responded that she can't as long as Aadhaar system was phool-proof.
@gautambhatia88 Once companies realise they need customers more than they need Aadhaar, they will automatically fall in line. Companies whose business model relies on Aadhaar have a really bad business model.
@sardesairajdeep The question to ask @TVMohandasPai is, if a girl from Meerut won a gold at the Olympics would he call her "the pride of Meerut" or the "pride of India"? Is Infosys the "pride of Karnataka"? If not, then this is also the shame of India.
