경기대학교 A부총장(A교수)은 과거 성비위 의혹에 대해 진상규명을 요구한 졸업생을 상대로 1,500만 원이라는 거액의 소송을 제기했습니다. 이는 공론화를 입막음하려는 움직임이며, '보복성 소송'입니다.

과거 성비위 의혹 사건으로 정직 2개월 징계를 받은 전력이 있음에도, 반성과 사죄 대신 손배소로 맞받아치며 학생들을 압박하고 있습니다.
이에 우리는 대학의 공공성을 지키고 정의를 바로 세우기 위해 A부총장의 즉각적인 고소 철회와 모든 보직 사퇴를 강력히 촉구합니다.

[우리의 요구]
A교수는 총학생회장 출신 학생에 대한 1,500만 원 손해배상 청구를 즉각 철회하라.
A교수는 부총장직에서 즉각 사퇴하고 모든 보직에서 물러나라.
학교 당국은 해당 성비위 의혹 및 과거 사건 전반에 대해 독립적이고 투명한 진상조사와 조치를 즉각 실시하라.
학생회는 학생 권익을 대변하는 대표기구로서 본 사태를 방관하지 말고 즉각 항의 행동에 나서라.
손율 이사장은 A교수의 부총장 임명 과정에서 제기된 의혹에 대해 책임 있게 해명하라.

[Request for Joint Signature] Call for the immediate withdrawal of the 15 million KRW damages lawsuit filed by Vice President A of Kyonggi University in response to the public disclosure of sexual violence allegations, as well as his resignation from the post.

"Is publicizing allegations of sexual misconduct a 15 million KRW offense?"

Vice President A (Professor A) of Kyonggi University has filed a lawsuit seeking 15 million KRW in damages against an alumnus who called for a thorough investigation into past allegations of sexual misconduct. This is an attempt to silence public discourse—a retaliatory lawsuit.

Despite having previously received a two-month suspension due to past sexual misconduct allegations, Professor A is now pressuring students with a damages suit instead of showing reflection or offering an apology.

Accordingly, we strongly call for the immediate withdrawal of the lawsuit and the resignation of Vice President A from all positions, in order to uphold the public responsibility of the university and restore justice.

[Our Demands]

Professor A must immediately withdraw the 15 million KRW damages claim against the former student council president.

Professor A must immediately resign from the vice presidency and step down from all positions.

The university authorities must conduct an independent and transparent investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations and related past incidents, and take appropriate action without delay.

The student council, as the representative body for student rights, must not remain silent and must take immediate action in protest.

Chairman Son Yul must provide a responsible explanation regarding the allegations raised in the process of appointing Professor A as vice president.
