Eeshoke Chula Chula Football Club is promoting food security and community development through its Savanna Green Farming initiative in the Eeshoke village.

Deep into the off season, the club is growing crops such as spinach, cabbage, maize, tomatoes, green peppers and onions to supply fresh produce to local households and vendors.

The project aims to improve access to affordable, locally grown food while creating income to support the club’s football activities.

The initiative also encourages sustainable agriculture and demonstrates how football clubs can contribute to social and economic development beyond the game.

Namibia launches WayaMe for instant payments

Namibia has launched a new instant payment platform called WayaMe, following the successful completion of pilot testing for the country’s Instant Payment Solution (IPS).
The pilot marks the final milestone before the system is rolled out in phases nationwide.
The Instant Payments Namibia (IPN) said WayaMe is the consumer-facing brand of the national instant payment system. It is the name that users will see and recognise when making or receiving payments through the platform.
