New: Regretful cities are literally covering their Flock cameras with black trash bags because they cannot figure out how to immediately exit their surveillance contracts or get the cameras taken down:

FIFA is panicking: World Cup hotel cancellations are surging as global fans ditch the U.S., citing soaring costs, visa bonds, and Trump’s dictatorial behavior.
Turns out nobody wants to pay $1,000 a night just to experience an authoritarian simulation.
Tradition. #MNUFC#Loons players sign a ball and award it to first-time scorers with the club. On Saturday, Mauricio Gonzalez got one as he joined Tomas Chancalay, Morris Duggan and Kyle Duncan to achieve it this season.
“It’s wonderful,” Gonzalez said.
George H.W. Bush kept his assets in a blind trust, as did Bill Clinton. Neither Obama nor Biden traded stocks or bonds while in office. 3,700 trades is probably more than all the trades of all the presidents until now. And he is trading stocks that are affected by his decisions. A walking conflict of interest, at the least, and perhaps insider trading. Just as members of Congress should not be able to trade stocks, so too the president. https://t.co/yDqVXWfDgc

Mental health is health.

Updates: #MNUFC mid Bongi Hlongwane will not be with team in Columbus on Saturday due to "family emergency," Cameron Knowles said. Peter Stroud aggravated injury and will be out more weeks. Michael Boxall is "very, very close" to returning to matches after being in full training.
He murdered Renee Nicole Good.
Shot her three times and then called her a “f*cking b*tch”.
Her last words? “It’s ok dude I’m not mad”.
He got three days administrative leave before being transferred to another state.
No punishment. No accountability. No justice.
Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
Over 4,000 young Americans are alive today who might not be — because of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline we built together.
The grief of losing a child is something that no parent should ever have to know.
We launched 988 in 2022. We invested in it. We fought for it. And now the data is in: an 11% drop in youth suicide. Thousands of kids who picked up the phone instead of giving up.
In my view, that’s what government is supposed to do.
