The market will show us what to do and when to do it, but it does not tell us if it is going to work out in that moment until we put ourselves in a position to get real-time market feedback. That is why we cannot bring hesitation or over-anticipation to our executions. If we do, we will interpret the market in a different way than it is calling for. Don't be afraid to be wrong when you pull the trigger as that is what it takes to inform your next decision while using the rhythm of the market.

Reviewing our business to understand where we can improve is paramount. Typically, that will lead to an emotional web that you need to uncover about yourself in order to push past whatever barrier is ahead. Take it one barrier at a time. And, when you lift your head up after 50 of them, you will know when you look in the mirror that what you see now is turning into the secret you were searching for.

There are many people in trading that are looking for some "secret" sauce in order to take easy money out of the market. It keeps people searching and jumping from book to book, strategy to strategy , or trading room to trading room while constantly chasing their own tail. The secret to successful trading is what you see in the mirror each morning after you wake up. Everyone can click a mouse, but what happens six inches between the ears is up to you. We have to train our minds, understand our weaknesses, and exploit our strengths. It is not easy. If it were, everyone would do it.
