Left trending Miami had been the thing keeping Democrats afloat in Florida as they lost ground with WWC voters across the state. However, in 2020 that changed as their margins with Hispanic voters fell off a cliff to the point where Harris nearly lost the Miami metro in 2024.

I'm saying they're about as different as, say, Montpellier Marseille and Nice : very different cities with very different cultures, despite being in the same part of the same country.

But you don't realize the same is true for Europe.

Marseille Nice and Montpellier are even closer, in the same part of France, and each have radically different identities, cultures, values.

But everything you say is true about different parts of EU countries too. Plenty of Europeans are very ignorant about America, bur right now you're doing the same thing.

Andalusia and Catalonia, Sicily and Lombardia, Saxony and Bavaria, Paris and Languedoc are as different as the states you mentioned (and themselves have lots of internal variations)
