We may also get stress relief by treating ourselves kindly. For example, we should not make harsh or unrealistic demands on ourselves. Nor should we belittle or malign ourselves. “You must love your neighbor as yourself,” Jesus Christ said.—Mark 12:31
Took my 11-year-old daughter to a checkup today.
The nurse asked me to step out of the room.
I politely said no.
She said, "It's only for a moment."
I replied:
"My husband and I don't leave our children alone with anyone, including medical providers. Anything you need to say can be said with me here."
She looked annoyed and left.
The part that stuck with me?
As soon as she walked out, my daughter thanked me for staying.
Her eyes got huge the moment the nurse asked me to leave.
Maybe I'm overprotective.
But I'd rather be present and unnecessary than absent and regret it.
Cookie and I are praying for the families of four great men who recently passed away: NBA legend Stacey King, NBA Coach Rick Adelman, R&B superstar Peabo Bryson, and NFL Coach and former MSU Spartan Sherman Lewis 🙏🏾
There’s no way anyone can see NY losing this championship; And if they do, it’ll be the biggest heartbreak for a city thirsting for success 🤔 #nbafinals
So you mean to tell me that my guy Ewing couldn’t get a championship with the Knicks but Brunson & Big Kat bout to do dat there…… 🤔 Guess it speaks to Jordan’s greatness 😡
