Sometimes I think about how Michael Gove was able to dismiss the Tories £ 10 billion PPE waste & industrial scale corruption as an ‘ honest ‘ error & UK media said ‘ Oh that sounds credible ‘ 🙄 & the story disappeared after 2 days .
Thank god the 2026 World Cup is over.
What have I learned?
FIFA is bent and corrupt.
White House interference.
Three host nations are two too many.
48 teams is too many.
Hydration breaks make the game into four quarters (too Americanised)
Counting down to kick-off... pathetic.
TV cameras constantly looking at celebrities... who cares!
Half-time ad breaks.…. Money!
Poor referees.
VAR ruining Football.
Commentators are still terrible.
Pundits are as bad as commentators.
Messi is a little shit
Argentina is a horrible country.
That’s my World Cup; if I’ve missed anything, please add!

Hunter Biden gave a sad update on his father Joe Biden's health in a BBC interview: the cancer has spread to his bones, it is very painful and debilitating.
"Cancer is really hard... It's really sad to watch. I wish he would complain more."
Hunter calls him the center of the family and the best father, husband, and grandfather.
Thoughts, prayers and positive energy to the Biden family.
After being struck, she said: “You can’t punch me in my face.”
Trooper Arellano responded: “Says who?”
She repeatedly asked for help and to call her mother.
Alisa is a daughter. She is a young woman. She is a human being.
Too many times, we have watched routine traffic stops involving young Black people end in excessive and unnecessary force—or worse, with lives taken.
No one should have to fear being physically assaulted, harmed, or stripped of their dignity during a traffic stop. Encounters with law enforcement must be grounded in professionalism, restraint, and respect for human life.
This should never have happened. Alisa Hackett deserves justice and full accountability from the Arkansas State Police.

The English FA has now formally withdrawn their support for Gianni Infantino.
A move they were set to do a few days ago, and have now executed by sending a formal letter.
Today I join others from across our game and call for Gianni Infantino to resign as FIFA President.
Infantino has debased the office that he promised to elevate. He has lied, deceived and tried to feather his own nest at the expense of the game he is supposed to serve.
He has lost the support of his senior staff, his closest advisers, the vast majority of people who devote their lives to this sport and even, it would seem, the FIFA Peace Prize winner.
It is too late to save his dignity but it is not too late to save football. He should go. Now.

@PolitlcsUK So long as they write back thanking me for the military service which has left me needing support, fine.
In fact, Clarkson should write it personally...
The fastest female, 100-meter sprinter in recorded history is American legend Florence Griffith Joyner. She set the world record of 10.49 seconds on July 16, 1988.
In 2026, there were over 1000 high school boys that beat this record! You read that correctly. In this year alone, there were over 1000 high school boys that beat the record of fastest woman in the world ever!
If just one of those boys, or a meager 1/10 of 1%, decided to compete as a woman, he would crush the women’s world record!
I’m not talking about a high school record or a college record or even an Olympic or professional record. I’m talking about the women’s world record that has held since 1988!
Remind me again, why you’re not supportive of women’s rights.
NYC mayor, Zohran Mamdani, tried to break through the state troopers to stop the mass deportations while shouting:
'DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE 1st AMENDMENT?'
This IS what it looks like when a leader is fighting for humanity. 👏
Chicago teen shares his experience in ICE detention centers:
I am 18 years old and I just graduated from high school in Chicago. I was in ICE detention for 2 months and 10 days. On March 17, my mother and I were at our ICE check-in appointment. My mother and I were separated for 2 months. They kept me in solitary for 2 days for no reason, alone in a room with just a toilet. At some places we were strip searched. We ate horrible food and it made us sick. They never let us go outside.
