Namyalo Mobilises ONC Coordinators for LC1 Elections, Vowing Resilience.
Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), has launched a nationwide mobilisation drive for the forthcoming NRM LC1 polls, underscoring the office’s unwavering commitment to grassroots engagement despite significant budgetary limitations.
Addressing coordinators at a flag-off
ceremony in Kyambogo on Monday, Namyalo disclosed that although the NRM Secretariat secured Shs50 billion for party operations, the ONC was initially excluded from the allocation, contrary to President Yoweri Museveni’s earlier directives.
Following her intervention, the President authorised a modest supplementary budget to sustain the office’s activities.
Namyalo expressed profound gratitude for the President’s “fatherly” guidance and equitable support for all organs of the Movement.
She reaffirmed that financial hurdles would not impede the ONC’s core mandate: intensifying ideological orientation, monitoring government programme implementation, and bolstering NRM structures at the village level.
She urged coordinators to transcend internal rivalries, prioritise unity and discipline, and ensure NRM victory in the LC1 elections, describing robust grassroots leadership as indispensable to the party’s enduring dominance. Namyalo further emphasised rigorous accountability in public resource management to guarantee tangible benefits for ordinary citizens.
Despite acknowledging past sabotage and political impediments, she reiterated her dedication to advancing the President’s vision and the NRM’s mission, while remaining focused on her current responsibilities.
