@twoaugustsago I was at the Madison Square Garden show last night and saw someone talking to the Yondr staff about this. They gave them a wristband that indicated they were allowed to have their phone to venue staff. Other venues will hopefully do the same!

Sometimes bookselling is rough, and sometimes a 10 year old nonbinary kid tells you that the book you picked for book club (The Insiders by @MarkDoesStuff) is 50/5 stars. And that makes everything better ⭐️

What this article unintentionally does is highlight everything wrong with YA publishing. The current market is pushing actual teen readers out in favor of catering to adults. Let teens have this one thing that’s for them without bending to the whims of 35-year-olds.
