@ErikPerson10@TreeHouseBrewCo I was told this morning spectator tix have been sold out for some time. Nowhere on the race website does it say that they are (and have been) sold out.
Had I known spectator tickets ran out before race bibs did, I honestly wouldn't have even registered.
Someone will probably say something about the Sunday PM time slot the week before the Super Bowl when there's no NFL "to get more eyes on the sport" - but it's also going to get more eyes on USATF making elite athletes race for the chance of a lifetime in garbage conditions
Cancer seems to give no f*cks when it comes to messing with your family, your friends, hell... even your favorite podcaster. Cancer won't stop until science stops it.
I'm proud to be raising $$$ for @TheVFoundation once again this year.

Did my first speed workout this morning, a 20m timed tempo effort. Temps were high, humidity even higher, heart rate was highest.
Pace? lol different story
@brooksrunning UPDATE: The shoemonger (me) has placed an order for the Levitate 6. Quite enjoyed the Levitate 2's a handful of years ago. Come on mailman bring on the new shoe juju
The @brooksrunning Ricochet was my 100/10 speed shoe, but since it's been discontinued, I've had a hard time finding a non-super option that feels the same. The Hyperion Tempo is light, but the foam isn't responsive enough.
What's the closest alternative in the Brooks arsenal?
Big week coming up: RRCA Coaching Course tomorrow & Tuesday, racing a 10K on Saturday! 🤩 Training hasn't felt all that great, but still confident that I can improve on the litmus test race back in March. Goal is to keep it under an hour.
Loving this thread. Between the social anxiety and fact that my easy pace is in the 11:00 range, it's tough to work up the courage to go on a group run. The one time I gave it a try, I got dropped by the entire group 1 mile into a 7 miler. Haven't gone back yet.
Question: how do you make group runs more accessible?
Context: a group run today where 8:15 is easy for 90% of the group (which includes pros/OTQ runners) was larger than normal and there was some frustration towards the back.
How do you satisfy everyone? Genuinely curious.
WHY do I always conveniently forget when I'm signing up for "go fast" race distances that I also have to go fast during the training cycle?
