‘The challenge is to improve the health of the planet at the same time as the health of people. We are preparing for the worst by building something much better’
Thank you @hazelsheffield for a lovely feature with many of our friends in the @guardian.

The space between buildings at Rodfords Mead has been a fly-tipping hotspot for more than a decade. Before then, garages sat empty for a long time. So when we popped up last weekend to open the space up for a community celebration, there was a lot of excitement 🤩
It’s Election Day, the #RetrofitReimagined film is getting lovely responses, the Tories are on their way out, and we are off to @timber_festival with our pals @WeCanMakeHomes and Portland Inn Project, and the SUN IS SHINING.
Have an excellent day pals, FREE PALESTINE.
The big Q missing from the election debate: “What if the power and resources to make good homes were in the hands of our communities?”
👇 read this from @MelissaMean
'Towards the people-powered housing manifesto we actually need'. On the eve of the general election, @MelissaMean writes of three shifts needed to support the community-sector go large and fulfil its potential.

@CalSleeper Gutted to be missing a day of holiday, but glad to finally be on our way. Thanks so much to your staff for all the chaos they had to work through - especially David, a logistical wizard who was calm and caring throughout 🙏
@CalSleeper have been told we’ll be put on buses from Carlisle to Edinburgh, and then use our ticket to travel onward via @ScotRail to Inverness. We are 3 ppl with 3 bikes - can you confirm that there’s space for us to travel by bus and train with them to Inverness? Thanks
Entries for the 2025 Peak Divide are now open. The event includes a mid-way campout - here I am lining up for the Inaugural Egg n Spork world champs.

I had an absolute blast running the Peak Divide last month. It’s a 76km trail ultra marathon that honestly feels as supportive and welcoming as my local @Parkrunuk.
Read about it: https://t.co/hNu2RLEalv #trailrunning#PeakDivide#ultramarathon
The route follows beautiful terrain over Kinder Scout and along the Hope Valley.
With caring touches each step of the way (ie home-cooked Gnocchi and support runners) the PD struck a perf balance between feeling like a slick sporting event, while staying true to its DIY roots.
