@5Solas Honest question for the Catholics here:
How is repeating "but Tyndale was killed by the secular authorities" different from Jews saying "Jesus was killed by secular Roman authorities for sedition against the empire"?
Religious leaders were pushing both executions.
@Is_Mise_T@xmuse_ These days many archives recommend clean hands as the standard instead of gloves because gloves can sometimes cause more damage by reducing dexterity.
@gmgauthier1967@jeremykauffman It was a rebellion but also a revolution. Those are not exclusive things. It was a revolution because it wasn't just a power struggle within the old structure; it was a replacement. Though not as radical as the French revolution, a new system still took that place of the old.
@RatclownAlpha2@nettermike Just because you’re dead from the neck up doesn’t make your lack of grief the standard. Other people are allowed to feel loss longer than you did.

@revenant_MMXX Had a social studies teacher in 7th grade smugly chide me in front of my class for saying that Antarctica was the world's largest desert. "BuT tHeRe'S sNoW tHErE!"
On August 8, 1982, a line drive foul ball hit a four year old boy in the head at Fenway Park. Jim Rice, realizing it would take EMTs too long to arrive and cut through the crowd, sprang from the dugout and scooped up the boy...
He laid the boy gently on the dugout floor, where the Red Sox medical team began to treat him.
When the boy arrived at the hospital thirty minutes later, doctors said, without a doubt, that Jim's prompt actions saved the boy's life.
Jim returned to the game in a blood-stained uniform.
A true badge of courage.
After visiting the boy in the hospital, and realizing the family was of modest means, he stopped by the business office and instructed that the bill be sent to him.
This is what a real sports hero looks like.
"Love is patient. Love is kind."
Thank you Jim Rice for who you are and for all you do.
The White House deleted this embarrassing video. So whatever you do- * DON'T REPOST IT. * Donald wouldn't like it if you hit "repost."
Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.
@PawnandPower@ryangrim The suez crisis led to the resignation of Eden as PM of the UK. It expedited the decline of the British Empire and showed the vulnerability of the British Pound £. In the end Egypt retained control of the canal.
Did you know that one man saved more than 90,000 children from slavery by pretending to be their buyer? This is the incredible story of Kailash Satyarthi, who left the comfortable life of an electrical engineer to become one of the world's most courageous child rescuers.
For forty years, Kailash posed as a carpet buyer, entering factories where children, some as young as four years old, were working in chains. He received death threats and was the target of assassination attempts by powerful factory owners who made millions from child labor, but nothing stopped him. His most poignant rescue was that of a five-year-old girl tied to a carpet loom. She had not seen sunlight for two years. When Kailash cut her chains, she was so weak that she could not walk. Today, that same girl is a teacher educating other children.
Kailash didn't just save children. He built schools, hospitals, and legal support systems. His methods combined dangerous on-the-ground action with international advocacy, helping to create global laws against child slavery.
In 2014, he won the Nobel Peace Prize. The children he saved are now lawyers, teachers, and activists who continue his mission around the world. One man's courage has changed millions of lives👌
