🎓 “Peace be upon you. From the students of Harvard, to the youth of Dahieh, to the sons of Nabatieh, and the people of Tyre.”
Harvard Medical School graduate Leen Ezzeddine, from the southern Lebanese town of Arabsalim, used her graduation speech to remind her peers of the students in Gaza and southern Lebanon who do not benefit from the same “arbitrary luck and circumstance” that she and her classmates have enjoyed.
Ezzeddine said her presence at that podium was “evidence of what survives the border, the bomb, and the exile,” and of “what becomes possible when people the world has tried to erase are allowed to live.”
If this was a blind ballot and you only saw a campaign's backers, which side would you pick?
But this isn't a hypothetical.
On the left are Xavier Becerra's backers.
Tom Steyer's endorsements on the right.
listen, I'm pretty cynical & jaded at this point, but this clip was the signal for me that @ChrisRabb is a real one
congrats to him on his win, this is a good example of why the Democratic establishment is so afraid of him and others with his worldview👇
Mayor Zohran Mamdani mocks Ronald Reagan’s infamous quote.
“I can think of nine words more terrifying than ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help…’”
“I worked all day and can’t feed my family.”
In retrospect, says Lorrayne Mavromatis, a Brazilian-born vlogger turned social media professional, the red flags at Beast Industries were there from the start. But in the summer of 2022, she says she overlooked them, too dazzled by the prospect of working for one of the most popular YouTube channels in the world, headed by MrBeast himself, Jimmy Donaldson.
When Mavromatis applied for a job as the company’s head of Instagram, she says, she was interviewed by Donaldson and the CEO and was hired on the spot. “I was in such dream mode,” she says now.
Now, in a civil lawsuit Mavromatis filed in federal court in North Carolina on Wednesday morning, she alleges, during her time at Beast Industries, she was “excluded from otherwise all-male meetings, demeaned in front of colleagues, harassed,” and was passed over for work opportunities in favor of men. When Mavromatis began to complain, the filing says, she faced retaliation: First she was demoted, then fired. Her suit accuses the company of violating the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, intentionally inflicting emotional distress, and wrongfully terminating her.
A spokesperson for Beast Industries described Mavromatis’s claims as: “clout-chasing allegations.” They were, she said, “built on deliberate misrepresentations and categorically false statements, and we have the receipts to prove it.”

“It’s just 30 cents more.”
To who?
Working people don’t feel cents, we feel every dollar.
Funny how it’s always “worth it” when it’s not your budget taking the hit.
@32BJSEIU
$200B for war.
But no healthcare. No raises. No relief.
And when gas prices go up, everything goes up.
Some people profit.
The rest of us pay.
@32BJSEIU
They keep asking how to rebuild the middle class.
It’s not a mystery. The Working Class Guy from @32BJSEIU explains how unions built it the first time.
Workers organized.
Workers fought.
Workers won.
And we will do it again. ✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼
Few Notes on the attacks on Iran:
1. Israel started the attacks, then joined by the US, according to most sources.
2. Iran was hit hard in Tehran and elsewhere, causing many casualties including an entire girls school (death toll at 87 now).
3. Iran struck back at Israel and US Bases in Arab countries.
4. Arab Governments condemned Iran’s response (WTF?). These include KSA, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, and now Egypt.
5. Israel has been hit hard in Tel Aviv and Haifa by Iranian missiles and drones, with marked damage
6. The UK just joined the American-Israeli offensive. Genocidal maniacs come together.
7. Hizballah has not joined in.
8. Iran is beginning to hit using advanced weapons/rockets it has not used in the 12-Day “war” (e.g., liguid fuel rockets, as reported).
9. Israeli Channel 15 is claiming Iran hit Tel Aviv with nuclear warheads (clearly untrue, but a potential pretext for escalation). Keep watching for "pretexts" for going all out.
10. The Straight of Hurmuz has been closed according to reports.
11. The United States has not yet gone all out, reflecting trepidation despite it’s fire power. This also applied to Israel, and certainly Iran.
12. American social media and Americans are for the first time in memory producing opposition statements that range from condemning US attacks to saying things ubiquitously like “we started this, now we must eat a di*k.” This is NOT insignificant, and driven by the 80%-85% opposition to this unprovoked attack widely view as being carried out on behalf of Israel.
----
For now, one noticeable note, perhaps among many others: Iran has clearly “learned,” or changed its policy of restraint it adopted during Israel’s Genocide in Gaza (when HIzballah possessed its full force, weapons and leadership) or the restraint it exhibited during the 12-day war and response to the US strikes mid-year 2025.
That policy of restraint (and potentially restraining Hizballah) was considered a potentially fatal mistake on the part of Iran by many. Iran is not going all out yet, but is no longer restrained, recognizing 1) this "war" is existential [hello!] and 2) it will not be quick, calling for rationing resources, not least as the “coalition” stacked against it expands.
Those who see a clear outcome, ought to think again. Ramifications will become apparent in 24 ours, economic, diplomatic, and otherwise, determining the next course of events. This is not just about sheer military power.

The single best statement from a Democratic politician that I have seen today - get rid of useless Schumer and just put someone like Gallego in charge of the party in the Senate.
Young people illegally being offered up as sacrificial lambs by a decaying, senile fascist to quench the bloodthirst of a small minority of sociopathic war hawks.
