Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari: I demand your immediate explanation. Just now, law enforcement personnel and intelligence officials raided my family home without my knowledge or presence. If this has been carried out under your government, you owe the public an explanation. If it has not, then you have a responsibility to explain who is operating with such impunity in Sindh.

This follows repeated visits to our home over the past week, amounting to a sustained pattern of intimidation and harassment directed at me and my family.

My family home has been empty for the past two days. During that time, police and intelligence personnel have repeatedly come to the property, arriving in approximately fifteen vehicles and harassing my neighbours.

I am placing on public record my grave concern over this unlawful intrusion. Any unauthorized entry into my home raises serious fears about my family’s safety, the integrity of our property, and the possibility that evidence could be planted, surveillance devices installed, or my residence otherwise compromised in an attempt to fabricate allegations against me or malign my name. Given the continued harassment of human rights defenders, these are not abstract fears.

I demand immediate answers. Which agency entered my family’s home? Under whose authority was this operation carried out? Was there any warrant authorizing this raid? If so, it must be produced without delay. If there are any allegations against me, the law provides clear legal procedures. Secretive raids, repeated visits, and unlawful intrusions into my family’s residence are not among them.

My family’s home is not a crime scene. It is not a place where state institutions can enter at will, intimidate our neighbours, or conduct unexplained operations without accountability.

I am also placing this on record: if anything is removed from my family’s home, if anything is later claimed to have been recovered from it, or if any case is built against me on the basis of evidence allegedly found there following today’s illegal intrusion, I will hold the authorities fully responsible. I likewise hold them responsible for my family’s safety, for any damage to our property, and for anything that may subsequently happen to our home as a consequence of today’s unlawful entry.

میری والدہ تھانے میں مسلسل الٹیاں کرتی رہیں، ہم بار بار ڈاکٹر کی درخواست کرتے رہے کیونکہ وہ ہائی بلڈ پریشر کی مریضہ ہیں، مگر کسی نے نہ سنی۔ اس کے باوجود ہم پر جھوٹی ایف آئی آر درج کی گئی، ہمیں کئی گھنٹوں تک وکیلوں سے ملنے نہیں دیا گیا اور ایک لاک اپ میں بند رکھا گیا جہاں کوئی بنیادی سہولت موجود نہیں تھی۔ حالانکہ ہمارے پاس ثبوت موجود ہیں کہ ہم نے پریس کانفرنس سے روکنے پر خود رک کر واپس جانے کا فیصلہ کر لیا تھا، مگر پھر بھی ہمیں زبردستی اٹھا کر تھانے لے جایا گیا۔

میں تمام وکلا جن میں سر جبران ناصر، سر زاکر بلوچ، سر عمران بلوچ، سر عامر اور سر سراج موجود ہیں ان کا تہہ دل سے شکریہ ادا کرتی ہوں کہ انہوں نے پیچھے ہٹے بغیر جدوجہد جاری رکھی، جس کے نتیجے میں آج ہمیں باعزت رہا کیا گیا۔ تمام ان لوگوں کا بھی شکریہ جنہوں نے اس مشکل وقت میں ہماری آواز بنے۔

لیکن یاد رہے کہ اب بھی میرے بھائی داد شاہ کئی لوگ جبری طور پر لاپتہ ہیں۔ ہمیں ان کی بازیابی کے لیے اپنی جدوجہد جاری رکھنی ہے، جدوجہد فتح تک۔

Mahjabeen Baloch, a 25 year old student of Library Science at the University of Balochistan, was forcibly disappeared on May 29, 2025 from the Civil Hospital Quetta hostel by CTD personnel. She is a polio patient and has now spent 311 days in illegal detention without charge or trial. Nasreen Baloch, a 15 year old student, was abducted on November 22, 2025 from Hub Chowki and has remained disappeared for 134 days.

Rahima Baloch, 22, was taken on December 9, 2025 in Dalbandin during a raid along with her brother. Both remain missing for 117 days without being presented before any court. Hani Dilwash was forcibly disappeared on December 20, 2025 from Hub Chowki while in the final month of pregnancy. She has now spent 106 days in illegal custody, raising serious concerns for her life and the safety of her unborn child.

Hair Nisa Baloch, a 17 year old student, was also taken on December 20, 2025 along with Hani Dilwash. She has been held in enforced disappearance for 106 days, denied access to her family and any legal process. These are young women and girls whose only crime is their identity, now facing unlawful detention and possible abuse.

These cases show a clear pattern of targeting Baloch women and minors through enforced disappearances. This practice violates international human rights law and demands urgent attention. Immediate release, accountability, and an end to these abuses are essential.

A report published on November 19 in Pakistan-based Daily Express Tribune falsely quotes me as saying that “[Dr. Mahrang] Baloch has been held in Hudda District Prison under reportedly harsh conditions,” and further claims that “Her sister said she appeared ‘weak and stressed’ and was denied access to legal counsel.”

I have never spoken to this reporter, nor have I said Mahrang Baloch appeared weak and stressed. This is a complete misquote.

I want to clarify that Dr. Mahrang Baloch is strong, high in her spirit, and committed in the face of state brutality.

I respectfully request the media: if you cannot accurately report on Dr. Mahrang Baloch’s case, then please refrain from misreporting it.
