It's one week of me taking summer leaves from my scientist role to science journalist through @AAASMassMedia!

Today one of my colleagues said his farewells which surprisingly made me a little teary💧

3 months working as a scientist in the corporate made me even more aware of accepting I don't know what I don't know.

I went from knowing nothing about working with samples and procedures, to where I can independently operate most microscope instruments + wrap up a report. (1)

We had a great time at the NC Science Expo demonstrating the wonders of light by polarizing corn syrup, disappearing glass beads, and creating a rainbow from nailpolish!
