Great example of how bad the health insurance is in the US.

I pay what amounts to a mortgage payment @UHC .

Have had four hip surgeries over the last 14 years.

Finally have a hip replacement surgery scheduled. Supposed to be in four days.

Get a call from my surgeon today telling me my claim is denied because I haven't yet done 12 weeks of in home exercises.

I exercise and do work on that hip every day - have done so for 14 years.

Friends - avoid United Health Care.
