⚠️17 years ago 🇵🇰 used all its diplomatic leverage to convince US President G.W. Bush to stop over in Pakistan after his state visit to India where POTUS signed the Nuclear Cooperation Agreement with India. There was a huge hue and cry in Pakistan at the time that the POTUS signed the NCA with India and played only cricket with Pakistan, its ally in US War on Terror.

Today, 17 years down, the lane 🇵🇰 is trying to convince the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Salman, to stop over in Islamabad on his return journey from India G20 Summit and announce investments in Pakistan.

Pakistan who wishes to attract $25B investment from MBS's Saudi Arabia in the field of mining, oil & gas, agriculture, and ports has been publicizing this for 6 months now without any concrete deliberation on projects. While India without any prior announcement has signed an MOU with US, Saudi & UAE for the rail and ports Infrastructure project to counter China's BRI (CPEC).

The fact of the matter is that 17 years ago, we got a reality check and didn't correct ourselves. After almost 2 decades, we have regressed further into the abyss of economic turmoil and insecurity with no light in the tunnel.

Will this serve as an eyeopener to correct our course? Time will tell..

اللہ سے مانگ.....

خاتون کا شاپنگ بیگ پھٹ گیا، اس میں سے ایک سرخ سیب نکلا، سڑک پر گرا اور لڑھکنے لگا، خاتون نے بیگ فوراً سنبھال لیا، میرا موٹر سائیکل اس موٹر سائیکل کے پیچھے تھا، وہ غالباً میاں بیوی تھے اور سیب خرید کر گھر جا رہے تھے، خاوند موٹر سائیکل چلا رہا تھا جب کہ بیوی گود میں سیبوں کا بیگ رکھ کر بیٹھی تھی، بیگ پھٹ گیا اور اس میں سے ایک سیب نکل کر سڑک پر لڑھکنے لگا۔

سڑک پر رش تھا، درجنوں گاڑیاں، موٹر سائیکل اور سائیکل گزر رہے ت��ے، مجھے محسوس ہوا سیب کسی نہ کسی ٹائر کی زد میں آ کر چورا ہو جائے گا مگر سیب ہر گاڑی، ہر ٹائر سے بچتا ہوا تیزی سے آگے بڑھا اور لڑھکتا ہوا سڑک کے کنارے پہنچ گیا، کنارے پر پلی تھی اور پلی پر ایک بھکاری بیٹھا تھا، سیب لڑھکتا ہوابھکاری کے قریب آیا اور گیند کی طرح اچھل کر اس کی رینج میں آ گیا، بھکاری نے سیب اچکا، اپنی میلی اور گندی قمیض کے ساتھ رگڑ کر صاف کیا اور کچڑ کچڑ کھانے لگا، وہ آسمان کی طرف دیکھ کر مسکرا بھی رہا تھا
میں نے موٹر سائیکل روک لی، اسے سلام کیا اوراس سے پوچھا یہ سیب تم تک کیسے پہنچ گیا؟ بھکاری نے قہقہہ لگایا اور بولا، میں نے ابھی ابھی اللہ سے شکوہ کیا تھا یا باری تعالیٰ تیرے بندے کو سیب کھائے ہوئے مدت ہوگئی ہے اگر تم مہربانی کر دو تو میں بھی جاتے موسم کا سیب چکھ لوں اور پھر پتا نہیں کہاں سے یہ سیب آیا اور اچھل کر میرے ہاتھ تک پہنچ گیا، بھکاری اس کے بعد شکر ادا کرنے لگا، میری آنکھوں میں آنسو آ گئے، میں نے بھکاری سے ہاتھ ملایا اور آگے روانہ ہوگیا، میری آنکھیں کھولنے کے لیے یہ واقعہ کافی تھا۔۔۔۔۔
