Feeling nostalgic from last night. An honour to receive this past Mayoress badge which is representative of Her Majesty The Queen. The symbol represents strength in unity a profound message & of course the pretty blooms. Thank you all at @RushmoorCouncil & the Lord Almighty.
Today we honour the life, leadership & legacy of Jesse Louis Jackson Sr., a civil rights icon, global humanitarian, political trailblazer and fearless voice for justice. Rest well, sir. 🕊️🙏 I had the privilege of meeting him in 2010. Words he shared then feel even more profound.
Diane Keaton, who won an Academy Award for best actress for her portrayal of the titular quirky character in Annie Hall and portrayed Kay Adams in the three Godfather films, has died. She was 79.

The great Robert Redford accepting his lifetime achievement Oscar in 2002. Still hits all these years later. #RIP
“Robert Redford was America’s movie star—from Gatsby to the Sundance Kid—but it was his personal commitment to preserving his craft and the natural world he loved that will be his enduring legacy. We will miss his joy and optimistic view of living.“
—Ralph Lauren
Before Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks stole our hearts in romcoms, there was Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. Barefoot In The Park is still a fabulously fun movie, and proof that love needs laughter.
R.I.P. Mr Redford.
We honour Robert Redford’s legacy as actor, director & environmental activist.
He reminded us that we all have the agency to shape a future where we are part of nature — and to embody #SharingHumanity in all we do.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our founder and friend Robert Redford.
Bob’s vision of a space and a platform for independent voices launched a movement that, over four decades later, has inspired generations of artists and redefined cinema in the U.S. and around the world.
Beyond his enormous contributions to culture at large, we will miss his generosity, clarity of purpose, curiosity, rebellious spirit, and his love for the creative process.
We are humbled to be among the stewards of his remarkable legacy, which will continue to guide the Institute in perpetuity.
“The glory of art is that it can not only survive change, it can lead it.”
Robert Redford reminded us of the power of cinema, of freedom, and of the artists who risk everything to tell their stories. Today, we remember his words, his life and career that forever shaped the landscape of film.
Israel terrorised, maimed, killed Palestinian civilians, razed homes, services etc. Now comes an offensive to colonise their land. Here @GaryLineker forced out of the BBC for a retweet- he apologised -& Graham Norton targeted by ultra Zionists. Our world.
BREAKING: Gary Lineker to Leave BBC After 26 Years
Gary Lineker is set to leave the BBC after this season’s final Match of the Day, with his last appearance scheduled for May 25, 2025. An official announcement is expected Monday.
Lineker, a former England international footballer turned broadcaster, has hosted Match of the Day—the UK’s flagship football highlights show—since 1999. He is also the BBC’s highest-paid presenter. His departure means he will no longer lead coverage of the 2026 World Cup or the FA Cup, despite prior plans.
The decision comes after controversy over a recent social media post in which Lineker shared material critical of Zionism that included a rat illustration—an image historically associated with antisemitic propaganda. He apologized “unreservedly,” saying he was unaware of the image’s connotations and “would never knowingly share anything antisemitic.” BBC executives reportedly found his position “unsustainable” after the incident.
Lineker has been an outspoken critic of Israel’s war on Gaza, publicly stating in an April 2025 BBC interview that the “mass murder of thousands of children” in Gaza was not a neutral event—and that it “warrants an opinion.” “If you’re silent on these issues, you’re almost complicit,” he added.
The BBC’s treatment of Lineker reflects a broader pattern of censoring voices and coverage that is critical of Israel—especially reporting on the genocide in Gaza. The BBC removed the documentary Gaza: How to Survive a War Zone from its iPlayer platform after revealing that its 13-year-old narrator was the son of a Hamas official. The film focused on the experiences of children under Israeli bombardment. Days later, the BBC delayed the scheduled broadcast of a second film, Gaza: Medics Under Fire, which documents Israeli attacks on Gaza’s hospitals and healthcare infrastructure.
British journalist @OwenJones84 investigated the anti-Palestinian bias at the heart of the BBC for Drop Site. His report is based on interviews with 13 current and former BBC staffers who allege that senior figures within the BBC’s news operation skewed stories in favor of Israel’s narratives and repeatedly dismissed objections registered by scores of staffers.
You can read Owen’s full report at the link in the reply.
“Israeli helicopters surrounded the medical facility and opened fire to block patients from entering or leaving. Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers demolished the hospital’s northern wall and bulldozed its front yard.”
How are the leaders of this government still walking free? After all this time?
This is how patients were evaluated from the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza Strip yesterday..
There are many more still trapped along with medical staff and displaced persons!
As reports circulate about a potential ceasefire agreement, Israeli tanks are besieging the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza. Drones continue to circle overhead, while F-16 fighter jets hover in the skies, contributing to a climate of intense fear and uncertainty.
RIGHT NOW: Hundreds of people, Jews and Palestinians, are marching towards the Gaza border calling to stop the Israeli government’s horrific plans of occupation, settlement, killing, and population transfer in Gaza.
We’re here because we refuse this catastrophe.
Israel’s renewed offensive on Gaza has killed many civilians over the weekend and targeted hospitals and medical staff - clear violations of international humanitarian law.
This must end.
We will urgently address the crisis with partners at the EHF tomorrow & Tuesday.
Israel killed 5 journalists and their families in a single night.
Just overnight, five more names were added to the long list of media workers systematically targeted in Gaza:
– Abdel Rahman al-Abadla
– Aziz al-Hajjar
– Ahmad al-Zeenati
– Khaled Abu Seif
– Nour Qandil
This brings the number of journalists killed by Israel since 7 October 2023 to at least 221.
To everyone who has marched for Gaza—once or a thousand times—THANK YOU.
From London to Sana’a, Cape Town to Melbourne, we walk one street: the long path to justice. Against genocide, racism, apartheid, and those who profit from it. And we are one.
