On the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a solemn tribute and felicitation ceremony was held at the Zila Sainik Kalyan & Rehabilitation Office, Meerut, to honour the supreme sacrifice of our Kargil heroes.

Hon'ble Dr. Somendra Tomar, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Political Pension, Sainik Welfare & PRD, Government of Uttar Pradesh, paid floral tributes to the martyrs and felicitated 21 Kargil War veterans and Veer Naris. Brigadier Atul Kumar, SM (Retd), Director, Sainik Welfare & Rehabilitation, Uttar Pradesh, reaffirmed the Government's commitment to the welfare of veterans, Veer Naris, and martyr families.

The occasion also marked the release of "Veer Gatha," a short documentary produced by FTII Pune under the aegis of the Directorate of Sainik Welfare & Rehabilitation, Uttar Pradesh, celebrating the courage, patriotism, and supreme sacrifice of the state's brave soldiers.

The ceremony witnessed the participation of a large number of Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, serving personnel, martyr families, and distinguished citizens, united in paying homage to India's brave heroes.

Paid a courtesy visit to the Military Advisor to National Security Council Secretariat,
Lt Gen NS Raja Subramani , PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM ( Retd) and had a meaningful discussion on issues concerning the welfare, rehabilitation, and empowerment of Ex-Servicemen.

The valuable insights and guidance shared during the interaction will greatly assist in further strengthening initiatives and support mechanisms for the welfare and well-being of the Ex- Servicemen fraternity.

निदेशक सैनिक कल्य���ण एवं पुनर्वास उत्तर प्रदेश , ब्रिगेडियर अतुल कुमार, सेना मेडल (अ० प्र०) ने आज जनपद हमीरपुर में जिला सैनिक कल्याण एवं पुनर्वास कार्यालय में सेना की झांसी स्थित व्हाइट टाइगर डिवीजन की 27 Armoured Brigade / 12 मेकेनाइज्ड इन्फेंट्री, तथा जिला सैनिक कार्यालय हमीरपुर के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आयोजित पूर्व सैनिक पुनर्मिलन समारोह में प्रतिभाग किया। पूर्व सैनिकों एवं परिजनों से संवाद कर उनका कुशल क्षेम पूछा , वीर नारियों एवं भूतपूर्व सैनिकों को सम्मानित किया, कल्याणकारी योजनाओं की जानकारी सांझा की तथा विकसित , आत्मनिर्भर एवं समृद्ध भारत एवं विकसित उत्तर प्रदेश में अपना बहुमूल्य योगदान ���ेने हेतु प्रेरित किया।

आयोजन में 27 Armoured Brigade के कमांडर ब्रिगेडियर सुमित रावत , कमान अधिकारी कर्नल सुधीर , जनपद हमीरपुर के जिला सैनिक कल्याण एवं पुनर्वास अधिकारी कैप्टन (आई ० एन ०) हरजिंदर सिंह संधू सहित सेना के उच्च अधिकारी एवं भारी संख्या में पूर्व सैनिकों एवं वीर नारियों ने प्रतिभाग किया। आयोजन में पूर्व सैनिकों के कल्याण हेतु, स्पर्श , पेंशन, ECHS, CSD , मेडिकल कैंप , बैंक के स्टाल इत्यादि भी लगाए ���ए।

माननीय मुख्यमंत्री जी के नेतृत्व में सैनिक कल्याण विभाग एवं निदेशालय, सैनिकों एवं परिजनों के कल्याणार्थ प्रतिबद्ध है एवं नवाचार के साथ नए मानक स्थापित कर अग्रणीय भूमिका निभा रहा है । जय हिंद ।

(अ0प्रा0) ने पूर्व सैनिकों एवं उनके आश्रितों को स्वावलंबी बनने तथा राज्य सरकार की योजनाओं—जैसे "सीएम युवा उद्यमी योजना", "ओडी��पी" एवं "ओडीओसी"—से जुड़ने हेतु प्रेरित किया। साथ ही "विकसित भारत – विकसित उत्तर प्रदेश" में सहभागिता के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।

The 10th Armed Forces Veterans Day was commemorated with pride, solemnity and gratitude through a Mega Veterans’ Rally at Surya Auditorium, #Lucknow, organised under the aegis of Headquarters Madhya Uttar Pradesh Sub Area(#MUPSA). The event paid tribute to the selfless service, sacrifices and enduring legacy of India’s veterans.

Graced by Hon’ble Union Minister of State Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, the rally saw heartfelt interactions with veterans and Veer Naris, who were formally felicitated in recognition of their courage, sacrifice and lifelong service to the nation. The presence of Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, Chief of Staff, HQ #CentralCommand and Shri L. Venkateswarlu, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Social Welfare & Sainik Kalyan), Government of Uttar Pradesh, highlighted strong civil–military synergy in matters of veteran welfare.

Over 700 veterans and Veer Naris participated in the rally. Integrated welfare support included grievance redressal counters, ECHS assistance, medical facilities and guidance on entitlements and welfare schemes. The event reaffirmed that while soldiers may retire from active service, their contribution to nation building remains eternal and continues to inspire generations.

Today on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day , I was privileged to pin the flag lapel pin on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath ji.
The Hon’ble CM expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the brave men & women of our Armed Forces who work tirelessly to safeguard our borders and ensure national security. He paid solemn tributes to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation & emphasised that honouring, supporting, and fulfilling our responsibility towards the families of martyrs is both an individual and societal duty—an expression of true nationalism and love for the motherland. He exorted that every effort must be made to ensure the welfare, rehabilitation, and resettlement of ESM /martyrs & extending the benefit of govt schemes .
On this occasion, he also released the department’s publication- SMARIKA.
