Cognitive dissonance comes into play when we think the faith spoken of in scripture is blind faith. We do walk by sight its just a sight of a better kind, that which we see as a result of the Spirit opening our eyes to more powerful evidence than that which the optic nerve serves

Relationships that last and succeed are built on shared values and not shared injuries, common goals, and not common enemies. No matter how great the material things a person brings to the table it will be discovered that relationships are all about shared core values.

A developing economy Christian is mainly concerned with existential realities. It's why the prosperity message finds resonance, and that is all well and good. But the most important issue we all must confront is the question of purpose. It has eternal weight.

What bullies desire to do is to shut down alternative thoughts to theirs so culture is shaped in their own image. Societies and groups that don't allow diverse thoughts in the pursuit of the same goals will wither. Even in success they will live in the fear of the next big ideas.

You tell a lie, your conscience says what you just said is wrong, you quietly own up to the dictates within. It's a sign you are in good spiritual health. However when you lie repeatedly until you believe your lie & now sincerely act like the lie is the truth, there is a problem.

Weakness in leadership will be punished but so also will the lack of empathy. A leader must understand & identify with the feelings of the people then through knowledge arrive at a conclusion that will bring a long term lasting change, not just to pacify the emotion of the moment

If God alone is your source no person or group should be able to squeeze you into a corner until you are forced to act according to their desires which are in direct contravention of your values under God. Liberty is the reward of putting your absolute trust in God alone.
