However, with our upcoming overhaul (Audacity 4), this issue will no longer be a problem, since the interface is 100% custom.

Latest builds of Audacity 4 in the light and dark themes. A lot of work ahead but it's beginning to really feel like a polished app now.

We have an odd issue on Linux, running on a VM with Audacity 3.6. (latest version). The buttons have a strange '+' white stripe going through them.

We're wondering if anyone using Linux (not on a VM) is experiencing it?

Just launched Audacity 3.6, which includes a new master channel, compressor and limiter. The interface for the light and dark theme has also been revamped too. This is our last of our major releases of V3. Up next is V4! @audacity_app

We're beginning to lock down the dark mode design for Audacity. We're still a bit away from releasing this version but a lot of this UI is already built.
