For a long time to travel to Mexico or Canada we didn’t even need a passport. We just had agreements with them to use government issued IDs to cross the border (driver’s license). For many of us there was never a reason to have one unless you planned on actually going overseas. A lot of us still don’t have them because we never travel to another country.
“Nobody here is buying lunch for tourists”
Straight up, if I hear people on line at chipotle this month speaking Japanese or German or whatever, I am buying them lunch.
Think how awesome it would be for visitors to return home and talk about American hospitality instead of how scared they were because their bullshit globonews scared them into thinking there’s a shooting on every sidewalk here.
Same suggestion I made to our German friend Freddy:
If you’re still here for the 4th of July, may I suggest finding a small-ish town that’s having some sort of fair/festival and taking in the carnival food and fireworks. Possibly also a good parade in the morning depending on where you are. As someone else also pointed out, if there's a state fair happening near you too, those are worth it as well.
There's no part of the pump or hose that resides there. It's just a basic plastic shroud to hold/protect the nozzle when not in use with the flap/switch in the upper part. All the pumping mechanicals are in the bottom with hoses running up the sides. More than likely I'd guess the plastic/rubber is coming loose and that's the quick and dirty fix to secure it back down.
Leaders in Columbus are going to act like this is a hard problem to solve. It's not:
- Hire more cops.
- Prosecute and jail more criminals.
- Create a culture that celebrates marriage and family.
Kids raised in homes with married moms and dads, on the whole, don't take over Catholic fests.
Any other time gnashing teeth over what to do and creating "task forces" is wasting time, and ultimately, hurting more kids.
Then don’t tolerate it. Actually prosecute and hold the teens AND parents accountable. None of this is hard, but the system has to actually hold people accountable. Letting these teens and adults off because people think it’s being mean (or some other stupid argument) has wrecked this city as well as the surrounding areas.
@margaretmelonii There were also dedicated graphics machines then for stuff like this as well as, what others have mentioned, having hours to let scenes render instead of real time.
