i saw someone say that kie was the only one who didn't make him feel crazy when he believed his dad was still alive and john b was there for her when she thought she could bring jj back and now i’m in tears
@halwayeverdeen i get what you mean, i’ve already sent the team a text about the trigger warnings and them not acknowledging this as rape. But also this has nothing to do with me promoting it. I liked her character arc & meant that her story shouldnt be reduced to just that scene
almost done with loathed love & i do have some thoughts about it which i’ll be posting soon ish but i just had to say that in no way im defending kbr because they do need to take responsibilities for the lack of transparency-
@aoijseok -and not let go of this in the future books. scott wasnt punished until fuel the fire so im praying that kbe take this issue seriously and give audrey justice in the future books
-we want coballoway to put guy in jail and rightfully so BUT theres no evidence about it apart from audrey’s statement which would be strong enough to put him in jail, and audrey doesnt want to anything to do with him nor let him believe he affected her-
@aoijseok totally!! audrey was r*ped and it’s completely understandable that she would try to convince herself that she wasnt but it is the author’s responsibility to acknowledge that it was a r*pe scene and they failed to, i really hope they add the correct trigger warnings in the book-
KBR have said they think it’s unrealistic for characters’ mental health to be ‘cured’ in just one book (about Harriet’s SA) and they want to grow those arcs across longer timelines so Audrey coming to terms with her SA will definitely be a point in the coming books.
honestly, im getting a bit tired about the whole LL discourse. yes, what happened is fucked up, but that doesn’t mean someone is not able to enjoy other parts of the book. stop pointing fingers
