The HSE has sparked outrage after suppressing a €60,000 Grant Thornton report on the severe state of Ireland’s adult disability services. It is wholly unacceptable that the HSE and government routinely squander taxpayers' money commissioned on expensive reports that end up gathering dust on a desk instead of being used to repair a failing system.
This deliberate suppression directly betrays over 5,300 adults with disabilities reliant on primary caregivers aged over 60, as well as advocacy groups like Before We Die who voluntarily contributed their own data to force long-overdue reform. Shelving the report under the convenient pretext of "flawed internal data" is a cowardly snub to aging parents who are desperately pleading for a secure care plan for their children when they pass away. With a growing pile of vital reports hidden away to dodge public scrutiny, enough is enough!! There must be immediate accountability for an agency hiding its own failures at the direct expense of vulnerable citizens.

@Independent_ie This all sounds too familiar, we had a 30m 5g mast built in our local GAA pitch next door to our house, all planned in secret by local Gaa, 1st we knew was when it started to be built?! We proved breach of planning but swept away by Cork CC. No community in big €€
