Yesterday, AUGA bade farewell to Ms. Rebekka Junker, board member and patron for the past 5 years. Ms. Junker also served as a DAAD lecturer at Makerere University, Uganda. As she returns to Germany, she will surely be missed. We wish her great success in all future endeavours.

The Power of Branding!
Today, we wrapped up an insightful Policy Briefs Workshop at Kacoke Madit, Gulu, with our Smart Panel discussants. Our focus was on how effective branding can elevate our outreach efforts, particularly through alumni associations.
Dr Owiny DVC (AA) of @GuluVarsity, confirmed that DAAD/Germans are good people, thus supporting many Ugandans through in-country/in-region and foreign scholarships to support science, innovation and development.
AUGA president @JoeliaNasaka, in her opening remarks, reminded alumni that they are credible knowledge engines and should therefore support innovation and research translation through writing policy briefs. She says innovation isn't only technology but can also be just an idea.
