We're excited to bring a new task in collaboration with @ravi_mehta for all product managers out there. If you’ve ever wondered where you truly shine as a product manager, this is for you!
Ravi’s product competency framework breaks down the PM role into 12 core competencies across four categories: Product Execution, Customer Insight, Product Strategy, and Influencing People. It offers a clear, structured way to evaluate your skills, highlighting where you excel and where you need to grow.
Xander, your AI peer, will guide you through this assessment by asking a series of targeted questions, diving deeper into your past experiences as they relate to the core competencies. You’ll receive a detailed report post-call with an assessment following Ravi’s guidelines.

Ever struggled with customer interviews, feeling like you’re not getting the real insights you need?🤔
If so, you’re not alone. That’s where ‘The Mom Test’ comes in, a set of principles designed to help you get honest feedback without leading the conversation.
1. Ask about specifics, not opinions: Skip “Do you like this idea?” and go for “Tell me about the last time you faced this problem.”
2. Talk less, listen more: 🧏♂️ Let the customer spill their thoughts. Your job is to understand their pain points, not pitch your solution.
3. Focus on their life, not your product: Dive into their actual experiences. This is where the real gems are hidden.
4. Avoid compliments and seek the truth: People love being nice, but you need honesty. Make it clear you value their real opinions, not just the positive ones.
5. Keep it casual: Make the conversation feel like a friendly chat, not an interrogation. The more comfortable they are, the more truthful they’ll be.
Want to see how well you can apply these principles? Try out Xander's customer interview simulator. He’ll play the role of a customer, and you’ll get to practice interviewing him. Afterward, he’ll give you detailed feedback based on ‘The Mom Test’ principles to help you improve. 🚀

Fascinating deep dive on @enterpret_ai by @aakashgupta.
Two things that caught our eye:
1. 🧠 Their product development is refreshingly clear-cut: PMs solely define problems, then hand off to eng/design for solutions. No "product knows best" here - it's all about team problem-solving.
2. Despite having customers known for PLG (like Notion and Figma), Enterpret itself is all in on a sales-led motion 📈 They do custom demos and detailed POCs to win over big names early. Seems to be working for them!

Great insights from @lennysan's podcast with @jeff_weinstein from Stripe. Their approach to dogfooding at scale is fascinating. A quick thread on "Study Groups" and evolving product practices:
6/7 It uncovers issues that traditional dogfooding might miss. Pain points that insiders might overlook become glaringly obvious when you're roleplaying as a small business owner or a startup founder.
