This is Casper, a livestock guardian dog. In 2022 he was only 20 months old and was guarding his flock of sheep when 11 coyotes attacked.
He fought them all off and killed 8 on the spot. Then he went missing for 2 days, he was hunting down the last 3 coyotes.
He came back severely wounded and missing part of his tail but no sheep were harmed.
After a couple of weeks at the vet, Casper went home healthy.
