This is Avenue B Grocery. Same Austin neighborhood since 1909.
Building it today would be illegal.
We didn't lose corner stores to the market. We killed them with zoning.
The CORNER Act (draft model legislation) legalizes small neighborhood businesses, by right. 🧵

Bikeshare service resumes today in a limited capacity as we acquire replacement batteries, chargers, bike parts and restore the workspace damaged in a fire early this year. Nearly one-third of the fleet will be in service by 8/18.
Bikes will be provided in high-traffic areas like the UT area and all stations will be open for docking. Customers should use the Bikeshare app to find available bikes before heading to a station.

On Thursday, July 23rd, City Council will be voting on the Dog's Head TIRZ & project financing plan, which controls how funds raised from Dog's Head will be spent
AURA urges councilmembers to amend the financing plan to include the Dog Door Busway & its supporting elements
For Dog’s Head to ever live up to its promise as a dense, vibrant part of the city, it must be served by frequent & reliable transit. Unfortunately, current roadway plans make that impossible.
Read more on our blog about AURA's new proposal to fix that: The Dog Door Busway

Our proposal calls for a bus modal filter at the eastern edge of Bolm West connecting to a new bridge to Dog's Head
Modal filters are a powerful, low-cost tool for making bus trips time-competitive with cars and increasing total network capacity
