Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back.
Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: https://t.co/rzM1P0QbOl
We're going around the Moon. Come watch with us. Artemis II's four-astronaut crew is lifting off from @NASAKennedy on an approximately 10-day mission that will bring us closer to living on the Moon and Mars. The launch window opens at 6:24pm ET (2224 UTC). https://t.co/X27QJejNDt
Great to be on the picket line at Brick Lane School today.
This is a private equity-owned independent SEND school, where local authorities are charged tens of thousands of pounds per place.
Members here support pupils with extremely complex SEND needs, yet they are not paid fairly, lack adequate sick pay, and receive no London weighting.
This isn’t right.
Their union will back them all the way until they win the fair pay and conditions they deserve and their children deserve.
Serdar is facing a tough battle with stage 4 colon cancer and needs our help. Every donation counts and can make a real difference. Please consider contributing or sharing his story to help him on this journey. Thank you for your support! https://t.co/OwTwyN9Poz
Schools are damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Most parents get it but seeing parents complain online about paying for teachers to go on schools trips or why put events that invite parents during the school day. I get the challenges of parenting as a parent myself but
@TheRAC_UK I have been calling you 3 times to arrange hire car as I am stranded after car breakdown. No one is calling me back and I can't get home. Getting quite frustrated 😞
There is no justification for an academy trust CEO earning £530k while schools face a funding crisis, pupil need is rising, and educators are leaving under unmanageable workloads.
£530k is 15–20 adults in schools supporting behaviour, safeguarding, SEND and attendance - instead of one CEO salary.
This is about priorities and they are wrong.
That’s why we must vote YES to strike action on 28 February.
#SaveEducation
On 28 February, we will launch an indicative ballot asking members if they would be prepared to strike over pay, funding and workload.
Chronic underfunding means fewer teaching assistants and larger classes.
