@cjayjay49@RedFiveynwa@AFL@CalTwomey Cal and every other footy journo. Every tv channel, radio station & article. It was all the same thing.
So unless Cal controls is all…
@cjayjay49@RedFiveynwa@AFL@CalTwomey Worse off as they are in a limited flag window and looking to win right now.
With Zach their chances of winning in 2026 would be far greater. Thus, worse off.
The 2 teenagers from the held picks aren’t helping in this window.
@al_supercoach Held him and improved rank.
So hoping he’s back this week and straight to being his normal self!
Glad to be part of the 4%!
Lesssgo Nas!
@TheLondonKing7@SupaCouchPotato I think stick to your guns.
Colby will still be cheap rounds 14 & 15. Giving the inconsistencies, best to have a proper look at him!
@SupaCouchPotato@TheLondonKing7 Yeah heading that way. He’s good! Take out the Whitfield game and he’s been as good as any other F6.
Think I said it yesterday. I’m on Colby watch. Could be an easy sideways at Milan’s bye.
@PortlyHunter@Scobey__ Absolutely.
Did play the second half of his last game at HB but I think insane to jump yet at how poor his scoring has been.
But ready to launch next week
@McFlavour7@AFL@CalTwomey North get assistance for being shit and unable to pull a crowd.
But Essendon shouldn’t because they can pull a crowd whislt being just a shit.
Logical.
@RedFiveynwa@cjayjay49@AFL@CalTwomey They tried to come late, low ball the offer and have Zach make a scene.
It was strategic and it didn’t work.
Now all 3 parties are worse off for it.
Regardless of that perspective, Essendon always the butt of the joke.
@PrimeSamButler@AFL@CalTwomey I assume they have reflected when they let Adrian Dodoro go. 🤷🏼♂️
Drafting quality seems improved since.
Say Essendon accepted hawthorns offer.
They’re likely still 1-11 or 0-12 and still asking for assistance.
So not sure the relevance of what happened in trade period to this.
@AFL@CalTwomey You used to get a bonus start of 1st round pick for winning 4 or less games.
Getting a late teens pick for likely going 1 in 36 doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.
A whole bunch of hoopla and overreaction because talking Essendon gets clicks and reactions.
🥱
@ballboysfantasy They used to give teams pick 1 overall, as an addition to their first round pick, for winning 4 games a season.
This isn’t really that big a deal.
@SENBreakfast You used to get pick 1 for winning 4 or less games.

@FootyonNine@CalTwomey Back when Essendon were good. You used to get priority pick at the start of the draft! And the criteria? Winning 5 or less games.
Essendon’s on track to win 1 in 35. So what’s the big deal with an end of first round pick for the shit show.
@Camronhenrybol@FootyonNine@CalTwomey One would assume, like the West Coast assistance pick. It might have a clause we’re it needs to be traded.
If they had 4 x top 16-25 picks I would think they would package some of those up for a better pick, young player, or future firsts.
Not the same scenario as 2025
@vrsaljak@FootyonNine@CalTwomey Richmond intentionally sold the farm to start a rebuild after a decade of success.
Essendon have made endless fk ups and obviously need everything they can to get moving forward again.
Apples & oranges.
@essendonfc Players all across the league seem to be coming back from ACL injuries with no issues.
Whislt Essendon have had 2 players re injure theirs in the last 12 months. There’s either something wrong or incredibly bad luck.
I’ve been so excited to see Lewis get a crack. Devastated!
