Manly have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Starford To’a from 2027.
The Sea Eagles view the Tigers centre as outside back depth as Reuben Garrick is leaving for the Roosters at the end of the season.
What’s notable is that To’a only signed an extension with the Tigers until the end of 2028 last year, but was granted permission to explore other opportunities earlier this season.

@bigdogpistons1@KuKhahil If he accepted a significant buy-out, I'd be happy with the Pistons giving him the full MLE.
But yeah - don't know that there is a reasonable path to it.
@KeithSmithNBA hey Keith, is there any way to have Duncan Robinson's full salary count in the trade machine for trades post 1 July? I can't figure it out
@DoeJumars As an Aussie I feel that we have no separate accents, outside of very regional/remote areas. Pretty consistent nationwide over a big area, which is odd globally.
@MotorCityHoops@omarisankofa@therealwesd3 Would love to add Duncan, Caris and the 27 1st plus a future 2nd for Kyrie on top, but starts to feel unrealistic and harder to stay under the tax.
Wouldn't want to be a tax team for ~$5m and start the repeater clock.
@MotorCityHoops@omarisankofa@therealwesd3 Resign:
Duren at ~$37m
Tobias at $12m
Javonte at $3.5m
Extend Ausar for 5 years/$145m.
Duck the tax, with Jerome + Cam Johnson coming in, Stew + Sasser going out.
@Pistons__Talk@UnbiasedPiston Straight up for Cam Johnson makes a lot of sense to me.
Denver gets some savings and a defense first spacer who can play 4 and backup 5.
Pistons get a more wingy player with more offensive talent.
@KuKhahil Surely no champion has ever had a worse +/- against a team in the regular season?
Man even if we got swept I'm disappointed to lose the chance ro build the rivalry
So you can't tackle a decoy runner - that is a penalty.
But a decoy runner can tackle you?
Not overly foul play but weird to not penalise it when he ran into the defender IMO
@KuKhahil Yes, asset value-wise.
But only assuming #10 is going out in a trade for a genuine #2 for Cade.
I think this locks us into the Ausar business and helps to maximise his value to the team.
@rudyjuly2@PistonPowered I'd definitely be down for some excitement like that, but I'm not optimistic we see it.
I'll guess the likely ceiling is Norm Powell into Heurter's spot. But wr will see!
@rudyjuly2@PistonPowered Even then we wouldn't have any cap space without waiving Duncan Robinson/Paul Reed.
Our cap space this year is more theoretical than practical. Add JDs cap hold of $19.5M to this and you are only $10M under the cap without Tobias or the draft pick signed.
@zariqxavier That 8 seed who gets some shooting luck, wins a play-in and moves up to #7?
No. No soup for you. You just lost a lottery pick to a team who was better than you all year.
Just bloody weird.
@zariqxavier I still have no clue why the loser of the 7-8 play-in game gets into the lottery.
82 games to decide a 7 seed. Then some random shooting luck sees them lose one play-in game, and probably getting a top 10 pick. All whilst still potentially progressing in the playoffs?
