Hi, I’m Austé
I’m fascinated by one question:
How do you build a life that’s both ambitious and deeply fulfilling?
I’m exploring it through productivity systems, AI, creativity, books, and travel.
This account is where I’ll document what I learn.
Welcome. 🤍
Here’s what I’ve noticed about the employees leadership praises behind closed doors:
1. “If I give this to Name, I don’t have to think about it anymore. I know it’ll get done.” (Reliable)
2. “I appreciate how much Name overcommunicates. I never have to chase them down to figure out what’s happening.” (Communicative)
3. “Name gets sh✨t done. They brute-force their way to the finish line.” (High-agency)
4. “I can give Name any problem, even something completely new and random, and they’ll always figure it out.” (Resourceful)
5. “Name takes initiative. I don’t even have to ask.” (Proactive)
Be like Name.
I spoke to dozens of founders & investors at a summit, and this piece of advice kept coming up:
Don’t give up.
It may take 10+ extremely hard years.
It will be painful. Annoying. Boring. Heartbreaking.
But you have to keep going.
Of course, as with any advice, there are a hundred nuances. You’ll have to figure those out for yourself. 🙂
Sometimes the best thing you can do is just lock in on one thing at a time.
It might feel like you’re ignoring everything else, but finishing one thing gives you the space to move on to the next.
Otherwise, everything stays half-done, and chaos accumulates.
Stop trying to be a can-do-it-all.
It’s not flattering. It’s inefficient.
Become a pro at delegating instead.
Protect your time for the high-leverage work only YOU can do.
Start small, BUT with high leverage.
If you want to master consistency, don’t try to build 10 habits at once.
Pick 3 non-negotiables.
❗️Make sure they’re the 3 things that matter most in your CURRENT season of life.
So if you’re in an intense building season:
1. 9 hours of sleep, because recovery is crucial.
2. 30 minutes of working out every day, because you need to stay sharp.
3. 7 hours of DEEP work (no communications/brainstorming stuff, I’m talking real work), because shit needs to get done.
Master those 3 first.
Then, after 2–3 months, add one more or replace when your season changes. 🫡
Are 1-year, 3-year, 5-year, and any year-long plans still useful?
This world is moving crazy fast, changing in days, and we don’t even know where we will be same time next year.
Long-term thinking still wins, but I received the advice to plan in 3-month sprints moving forward.
Sharing is caring.
