What to Pray When the Eucharist is Raised at Consecration
At every Mass, there is a sacred moment when time seems to stand still. The priest raises the consecrated Host high above the altar and says,
“This is My Body.”
In that instant, Heaven touches earth. Jesus is truly present, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, right before our eyes.
It’s not just a ritual. It’s a moment of deep adoration.
So what should we pray in that holy silence?
Here are a few powerful prayers you can say silently in your heart as the Host is elevated:
. “My Lord and my God!”
These are the words of St. Thomas the Apostle when he saw the risen Christ. A perfect act of faith in Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist.
. “Jesus, I love You. I adore You. I believe in You. I trust in You.”
Simple, heartfelt, and so pleasing to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
. “O Sacrament most holy, O Sacrament divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.”
. “Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
Said with true humility before the One who can forgive everything.
. “Jesus, I adore You with the Heart of Mary.”
Uniting our poor love with Our Lady’s perfect love.
. Whisper your own private intentions
The Elevation is the high point of the Holy Mass. Don’t let it pass by in distraction. Let your heart rise with the Host. Look at Jesus and adore Him. This is the moment He gives Himself completely to us, let us give ourselves completely to Him.
Next time you’re at Mass, be ready. When the priest lifts up Our Lord, let your soul whisper its love.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I trust in You♥️ .

fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven,
Blessed Mother of the Son of God,

I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me in this necessity.
