📍For an international student applying for a Canadian 🇨🇦 study permit, using one consolidated bank account (or as few accounts as possible) is generally the better and safer option compared to using multiple separate accounts.

▪︎ IRCC officially allows multiple accounts. You can submit bank statements or official bank letters from more than one account (including foreign accounts).

▪︎ The proof of funds can come from one or more sources, as long as the total liquid/available funds meet or exceed the required amount (tuition for the first year + living expenses, currently around CA$22,000 – CA$23,000+

▪︎ IRCC lists "bank statements (for your Canadian or foreign bank account) for the past 4 months" and accepts evidence from multiple financial institutions.

🚨 However, one account (or consolidated funds) is simpler and less risky.

📍Multiple accounts often trigger more scrutiny, especially if:

▪︎ The funds appear recently transferred or split across accounts (possible red flag for "fund parking" or suspicious activity).

▪︎ Balances fluctuate a lot or show an inconsistent history.

▪︎ You come from a country with higher refusal rates (many African, South Asian, etc. applicants face this).

You almost always need to include a letter of explanation when using multiple accounts to clarify:

▪︎ who owns each account,
▪︎ how the total is calculated,
▪︎ the source of funds, and
▪︎ that the money is readily available/accessible.

Without a clear explanation, officers may doubt the genuineness or availability.

The economy is struggling due to corruption, poor policy choices, insecurity, weak institutions, mismanagement of resources, lack of investment in critical sectors like education, healthcare infrastructure etc. Prayer doesn’t change these, bold leadership, accountability, and practical reforms do.

Even the Bible teaches that prayer should go hand-in-hand with action. There’s nothing wrong with praying , it can inspire hope, unity etc. But unless prayer is matched with decisive action from leaders and citizens, the economy will not magically fix itself.

No offense but we don’t need more calls for supernatural help while the natural solutions are ignored.

I sincerely congratulate the Nigerian-born Dr. Peter O. Nwosu, on his landmark achievement of emerging as the 11th and first black President of the State University of New York at Oswego, United States.

In a historic watershed event, Dr Nwosu was officially inaugurated into this very distinguished position on the 27th of September, marking the first time an African-born president and an immigrant will lead the 163-year-old institution.

As a man who has remained passionate and committed to the growth of education in society, Dr. Nwosu has continued to inspire the youths to prioritize education as a pathway to success in life.

His visible achievements are a stark reminder, not just to individuals in society, but to us, the leaders of the Nigerian society, of the need to prioritize investment in education if we must salvage our nation from its present level of decadence and place it on the path of development. As I have maintained, education remains the best investment any nation can make for its citizens.

I congratulate him once again and pray to God to grant him the wisdom and strength to function effectively in this new position as he also continues to contribute to our national development, especially in the education sector.

He said out of all the states that sat for the examinations, “candidates from Abia State led other states as they scored five credits and above, including Mathematics and English language, making 83.40 percent.
“The state also leads in candidates with five credits and above irrespective of Mathematics and English language 95.84 percent,” he remarked.
He also disclosed that for least performed states with five credits and above, including mathematics and English language, Katsina came last on the table with 42 percent. This is just 2.42 percent ahead of Kano which came second to last with 44.42 percent.
