I haven’t been very active on here lately, and now I feel like I’ve lost track of all the writers 😭 If you’re still around,Say hi!

@KoalaQuillHQ Mostly mysterious, magical, and romance-filled stories 😊 I love mixing emotion, intrigue, and a little bit of fantasy together. What about you?
@michaelariley37 That’s honestly awful, especially when it stops being about the actual books. Critique is one thing, but following someone across platforms and targeting reviewers crosses a very different line.
Did writing the essay help you process some of that experience?
That's why it's so important to feed our imagination, we need it to balance out reality sometimes 📷

@Madhuri0302 Spot on. A great concept can't survive a shaky foundation, especially in romance where the emotional pacing is everything.
In your experience, do you find that fixing the structure usually requires a total rewrite, or can it be saved during the editing phase?
@angandeep The energy in this is fantastic! Marketing is the mountain every author has to climb, and it's much easier when we're all comparing notes on what's actually working.
What do you think is the biggest hurdle authors face today when trying to cut through the noise of social media?
@kimbra_ritchie I love seeing that forward momentum. It’s always an exciting (and slightly nerve-wracking) feeling when you finally see exactly where the story is headed.
Are you currently in the thick of drafting those final chapters, or are you focusing more on the promotion side right now?
@JDMCG2026 It’s a respectful way to do it, especially when the inspiration comes from real people.
And yeah, I get that, once a name is tied to someone, it can carry a bit of weight with it. Do you ever end up changing names later once the character starts taking on a life of their own?
@GasparHAuthor That sounds like a really compelling dynamic, attraction between adversaries can add so much tension and depth to a thriller. It makes every interaction feel charged. Do you find that connection complicates their decisions, or does it push the conflict even further?
@GasparHAuthor That’s fair, mysteries are a great place to start. I think a lot of romance just adds emotional stakes to the story, especially when it’s blended with suspense.
Do you think you’d ever try writing a bit of romance into your thrillers, even subtly?
@ThomSachsWrites Nice, I’ll check out your Goodreads reviews then, always better getting a deeper take from someone who’s actually read them. Out of those three, which one hit you the hardest personally?
@CJEdmunds1 That sounds really special, a 10th anniversary release is a big milestone. And adding a new short story to it is such a nice way to revisit that world.
Does it feel different writing in that universe again after all this time?
@Giftedmum That’s a really interesting way to put it, poetry as a liminal space makes a lot of sense, especially if it helps you shift or stretch between different forms of writing.
Do you ever find ideas starting in that “in-between” space and then growing into a full non-fiction piece?
