The message loud and clear from the current government is that we β autistic people - do not matter but @uklabour is actively working on this issue, argues activist and author @EDalmayne >> https://t.co/vDnl3c5sm5
There's alarming evidence starting to gather that autism is being discriminated against in Personal Independence Payment face to face assessments. If you've ever been awarded DLA and have had problems with PIP, please get in touch as we want to hear as many stories as possible.
Imagine: If every neurotypical person stood up for neurodivergent people...

I'm thinking maybe a letter from #ActuallyAutistic adults to the organisers of the #AutismShow explaining why it is so distressing/unsuitable for us. Who's in?
@labourlewis We wholesomely agree with you @labourlewis, but let's remember that autistic people are 1.) more likely to be Trans and 2.) More likely to be the victim of abusive behaviour rather than the perpetrator.
We are hopefully building ourselves up as a safe space for autistic Labour members and supporters. As politics can be a stressful environment. https://t.co/2z7uvoHBWD
We're keen to make contact with other professional autism & neurodiversity support groups in the emergency services, public & private sector - we can't be the only one out there! If you're involved or want to set one up, get in touch π
Are there any famous/successful/recognised people who are both trans and autistic? (Self-defined)
Trans youth group is talking about autism awareness month... we like to have interesting/inspiring profiles of people, like we did in black history month.
