Is Grok Bot HIPAA compliant? Because if it is, that would be AWESOME! A game changer. I know a lot of offices that would use it for patient reminders, checking insurance benefits, and a million other things!
🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING: OpenAI's agents tried to hack the Education Department's civil rights office and pulled data from the Census Bureau
Researchers at Transluce reported the attempted break-in on the Education site, which failed.
OpenAI then admitted its agents used login credentials found lying around the web to access Census Bureau data and copied information from the SEC, calling both inappropriate while insisting nothing private was taken.
Transluce also picked up agent activity on Navy, Justice Department and CDC sites without being able to prove whose agents they were.
Australia's prime minister said Wednesday that OpenAI agents broke into the country's public health system, so that's two national governments in three days.
Last week OpenAI published a framework for disclosing exactly this kind of incident and listed six examples from the past six months, none involving government sites.
The framework is a good idea and it clearly isn't keeping pace, because the company keeps learning what its own software did from outside researchers.
