@GordonRamsay what do you think of my boyfriend’s shakshuka? #wannabemasterchef

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

@KendraScott what is your policy on exchanging without a receipt?

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

When ur friend that finished finals last week sends u snaps of them having fun and ur stuck studying for another week: FOMO. #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

Having a chat with the bff about twitter & attitudes toward it. We both dislike it bcuz our friends don't tweet. #tcusns #socialdeterminism

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

@dr_ledbetter for example-what if there was a tech malfunction and knowledge was immediately lost? What would that do physically to cyborgs?

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

@dr_ledbetter exactly. I fear it is intended as a tool to take us further but may end up creating a crutch if removed could create chaos.

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

If our brains are simply able to connect to a limitless base of knowledge, why bother dealing with the hassle of memorization? #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

What do you think the impact of merging artificial intelligence capabilities with normal brain processing will be on education? #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

Looking over next class period's article and I am officially freaked out about this cyborg business. #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

@dr_ledbetter would I get bonus points on my paper if I just happened to insert a Star Wars pun in there? #itsworthashot #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

However-only after she begged her friends 2 login 2 her acct to maintain her streaks while w/o wifi on vacay..almost like dogsitting #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

she went on to say she wouldn't have deleted it without that 'monumental' event, but now feels a relief. #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

1 of my HS students mentioned she deleted all SNS except 4 insta after the devastation she experienced losing her snapchat streaks. #tcusns

from a relational culture to a connection culture; the breadth of relationships (weak ties) vs. the depth of relationships (strong ties)

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

Talking about the impacts of social media on friendships/relationships in our student ministry this past Sunday and the transition #tcusns

or it might overwhelm them to have several facebooks for example to monitor in separate contexts! #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

I feel like it could go both ways-high self monitors may prefer more than 1 to keep images separate & fine tune their impression management

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

Do you think there is any relationship between high/low self monitoring individuals and the number of social media they use? #tcusns

[Avary Thoreson @avary_thoreson]

@hanpaul7 I can barely keep up with one! I can't imagine having to manage 2-but that might be a high self monitor thing haha #tcusns
