#SOCL214 Red lining is interesting. There was no loans even available for the "red area" which is where African Americans lived. There was literally a policy of no blacks in white neighborhoods.

#SOCL214 First off, I am never heard of that phrase!😧I liked how one of the girls said there is no such thing as bad hair, as well as there is no such thing as bad skin. That was something I really thought of and makes me sad they couldn't be their selves.

@MaddyS_socl214 @robinsontara84 That is exactly what I was thinking. Lower incomes do not get a chance to do well on the test because the SAT is tricky. With prep and money, I am sure the average SAT score would be higher.

#SOCL214 Watching that video made me pretty angry/frustrated at the SAT system! I agree completely with this video!! The reason it targets privilege is due to being able to prep and pay money to understand the test, it is expensive.

It is interesting because two people of different races might share an ethnicity and conversely, two people of the same race might be totally different ethnicities. It's confusing, but true! #SOCL214
